it’s show time!
Join us at the
Queensland Civil Construction Field
Days for an event that will be bigger and better than ever
Damian Long, CEO CCF QLD
For many years, the Civil Contractors Federation Queensland (CCF QLD) has felt there was a gap in the market when it came to exhibitions and field days for the civil construction industry in Queensland.
To address this gap, CCF QLD launched the inaugural Queensland Civil Construction Field Days (CCFD) held on March 21-22, 2019 at Pickles Industrial’s Archerfield site, primarily to showcase heavy equipment and machinery.
CCF QLD was overwhelmed by the high attendance and positive feedback over the two days of the event. The CCFD attracted a large cross section of industry, with many people approaching CCF QLD during the event, wanting to get involved with CCF QLD membership and other events to aid advocacy for the Queensland civil construction industry. The event also allowed exhibitors to connect with existing and prospective clientele, which proved to be highly valuable.
The event had over 40 exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest technology for the civil construction industry. It allowed the industry’s contractors and business decision-makers to visit a ‘one-stop-shop’ where they could compare products, services and information.
One of the other key goals of the CCFD is to provide education around training and job opportunities within the civil construction industry.
Disappointingly, because of COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 CCFD was called off. However, once the word got out about the 2021 event, sites quickly filled up and it is now almost at full capacity. This is good news for attendees, who will have a large variety of exhibitors to visit and compare.
This year, the CCFD will be held during Australian Heavy Vehicle Industry Week, from Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 May, and will be bigger and better than the last.
Not only have we moved to a new location in Hamilton Northshore with improved facilities, including a licensed food & bar area – the Trimble Inn – and free parking, but we will also be holding the event in conjunction with the Brisbane Truck Show (BTS).
Although the two events will not be in the same location, there will be a free shuttle bus service departing every twenty minutes and, most importantly, all tickets purchased for the CCFD will also get you entry into the BTS!
Some of the big names that will be exhibiting at the CCFD, as well as 50+ other exhibitors, are: • Pickles Industrial • TFH Hire Services • Hastings Deering • BUSSQ Building Super • Hitachi • Komatsu • BrisVegas Machinery • Earthmoving Equipment Australia • Drake Trailers.
People will be travelling from all over Australia to visit the CCFD and the BTS. Making this possible is the vaccine roll-out and the low levels of COVID-19 community transmission – these two factors reduce the likelihood of snap border closures and lockdowns.
Additionally, the government recently announced the availability of hundreds of thousands of halfprice airfares from all over the country to support Australia’s struggling travel and tourism industry. The Civil Construction Field Days is proudly a Queensland Government approved COVIDSafe Event.
So where will you be on 13, 14 and 15 May? We will see you at the Civil Construction Field Days from 8am – 4pm daily! Book now and save with online tickets via www.ccfd.com.au – or purchase your tickets at the show (please note this service will be available on a cashless basis only).
This year’s event is proudly supported by naming sponsor Pickles Industrial and major event supporter TFH Hire Services.
