Babanango An Adventure of a Lifetime On the 17th of June the Grade 7 boys went on a camp that would change the memories of their Pridwin journey. It started with a early wake up to get to the bus and to leave by 7:30 the bus ride was long but there was entertainment that had movies like, How I met your Mother, and Happy Gilmore. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the amazing counsellors at Babanango. We had a lot of fun activities like hiking, survival skills, stalk the lantern and stargazing. In the mornings we had to do something called polar bears where you get into the river and do push-ups with the ten boys in the water next to you and you rely on each other to not stop or fall because if you do fall, they restart the count. My favourite part of the camp was the night under the stars where we slept on the riverbank. All of us, with our sleeping bags, slept together and made our own food, Potjie. We had a competition of all the Potjies. They were all really good, and we ate really well that day. As we lay down to fall asleep, we started to play games. Babanango was a life changing camp that brought the boys closer together. In my opinion Babanango was the highlight of my time at Pridwin.
