Lincoln Minster’s new Play Facility LINCOLN MINSTER SCHOOL UNVEILS OUTDOOR LEARNING & PLAY FACILITY LINCOLN Lincoln Minster School officially opened its Outdoor Learning and Play Facility recently at its Preparatory School on Church Lane. Cutting the ribbon with a little assistance from two very helpful pupil was Sir Jon Coles, CEO of United Learning, which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country via its 91 affiliated schools. Also on hand to explain the benefits of the new facility were Preparatory Head Mark Burton and Headmistress Maria Young. The morning included speeches, the chance to join in activities with pupils, and a performance from the preparatory school’s choir. Taking four months to complete, and costing £250,000, the facilities were

developed by Timotay Playscapes, and it includes spaces for role play plus adventurous climbing areas, running water play, tipis and woodland campsite features.

BOSTON The route of the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay has been announced – including four locations in Lincolnshire. A number of landmarks in Lincolnshire will receive a visit from the Queen’s Baton Relay, visiting Lincoln on Sunday 10th July and Skegness, Boston, and Grantham on Monday 11th July. The Baton will be visiting some key sites across Lincolnshire during its visit, including the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln City Football Foundation and the LNER Stadium,
