We don't do investment banking, overseas speculation or big corporate finance. We just serve individuals and local business customers – we call it "local banking".

Vacancy Description Our business customers need prompt help and expert advice. As a Customer Service Business Banking Consultant, which incorporates our Relationship Support role, you’ll answer any questions that need answering or provide any account and product information they may need. As this is for our business banking customers, some previous experience in that environment would be beneficial, although not essential as full training will be provided. In these roles, you’ll quickly become an expert in your particular area, and use your knowledge to discuss products and services that will help our customers with their business.

You’ll be able to create genuine rapport with our customers and effectively use information available during each customer call to ensure that the products they hold and services they access continue to support their financial journey.

The business customer telephone service operating hours are 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday; plus 9am to 2pm Saturday. You won’t be expected to work on Sundays.

Vacancy Description As a Local Banker you’ll maximise time with our customers to fully understand their financial needs.

You might be working on the counter, at the welcome desk or anywhere in the branch. Think of yourself as a guide, pointing customers to the right product or to a colleague with the expert knowledge to help them further. At the same time, you’ll use your expertise to teach and coach other members of the team.

We’ll make sure you get in-depth training, helping you to develop an in-depth knowledge of our products and processes. You don’t need a background in financial services or banking. What you do need is a genuine interest in and experience of helping customers, answering questions, sorting out problems and recommending different services or products. You’ll love working in a busy environment, helping hundreds of different customers with hundreds of different queries. You’ll also be expert at balancing necessary paperwork with time spent meeting and talking to customers, as well as being willing to work on Saturdays.
