Itinerary Day 1-2: Your holiday starts from the moment you board our JFS Luxury Coach for transfer to the Airport. Fly to Hurghada) and check in for the first 2 nights at your 5 star all inclusive hotel where you can relax and enjoy the beach or the pool or try a camel ride or sea fishing trip before embarking on your cruise. Optional tour available to visit the monasteries of St. Anthony and St. Paul*.

Day 3: Drive to the Nile Valley and the city of Luxor in Upper Egypt; Luxor is the site of the ancient Egyptian capital, Thebes, and has the largest concentration of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley, and probably the world.

On arrival you will check in to your cruise ship in time for lunch. There is then an opportunity to visit the temple complec at Karnak, via one of the Sphinx-lined avenues. Inside the huge Courtyard are 3 chapels dedicated to the gods Amun, Khous and Mut. The Hypostyle Hall boasts 134 immense columns, carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and bold hieroglyphs cover the walls.

Day 4: Cross the Nile to tour Luxor’s West Bank; visit the Valley of the Kings and imposing Pharaonic tombs along with the temples of Queen Hatchepsut and Medinat Habu, and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon.

A spectacular early morning hot air balloon flight over the west bank of the Nile is available this morning to catch the sunrise.

In the afternoon sail south through the locks on the Nile at Esna and on to Edfu.

Day 5: You sail further south today with stops to tour the Temple of Horus at Edfu and the Temple of Sobek at Komombo.

Day 6 : A free morning to enjoy the optional early morning visit to the temples built by Rameses II or simply relax on board. Aswan itself is a melting pot of African and Middle Eastern cultures, it’s also part of the ancient region of Nubia, which comprised parts of present day southern Egypt and northern Sudan around the Nile rivers. You will visit a local Nubian village to and enjoy a traditional lunch, then visit the beautiful island temple of Philae by boat.

Day 7: We check out of the cruise boat this morning and after enjoying a felucca sailboat trip on the Nile to several of the islands, we drive north back to Luxor (approx. 4hrs). On arrival we check into a 5-star hotel on the banks of the Nile. In the evening, take a walking tour of the smaller Luxor Temple which is right in the middle of town and beautifully lit up at night.

Day 8: Your time is free today until we pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your departure. On arrival in the UK, you will be met at the Airport by our JFS Luxury Coach and transferred back to Ferndown. *Optional excursions payable locally
