If the pandemic has taught me one thing, it's an appreciation of restaurants. I have always loved to cook, but knowing that there was no break to be had, even when I needed one, got to me after a while. It becomes just another daily box to tick off my list rather than an exercise in creativity. Of course, I did take-out when possible, but even that leaves dishes to be done and don't even get me started on the constant kitchen cleaning. I am over it.
So, along with many of you, I'm sure, I am rejoicing at the return of in-person dining. I'm happy to let someone else do all of the cooking and cleaning again, while I truly take a break. Just in case you need ideas or just want to know how your favorite spots are doing, this issue is chock-full.
