ART CLASSES

Meet the Artist: Alice Lieb

“I once heard a renowned Pittsburgh artist, Thad Mosley, say, ‘What you do in childhood will stay with you.’ For the first 10 years of my life, my family moved around Pennsylvania, and there would always be a forest nearby. Those trees and streams became my playground, my happy place. Now as an artist, I am still drawn to the trees, lakes, trails and flowers that continue to inspire my life and work. I create oil and acrylic paintings that are rich with color, light and energy to preserve the feeling – or spirit – of a particular place and moment in time.

“My professional experience has focused on the arts and arts education. I have been an exhibiting professional artist, museum

educator, arts administrator and teacher. I am past president of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists.” Learn more about Alice at www.alicelieb.com.
