Care with History and Purpose For 150 years, our not-for-profit Mission of Love has been reflected in our care and services. Masonic Village strives for excellence by offering a variety of options for each individual to enjoy the highest quality of life.

What Does This Mean for You? All our services, ranging from food services to nursing to housekeeping, are provided by our own dedicated staff, who grow to know each resident like family. Residents and their loved ones are encouraged to provide input on all aspects of care. The neighborhoods of our Star Points Building (personal care) and Sturgeon Health Care Center (nursing, transitional and memory support care) are designed with the comfort of residents in mind. Modern dining rooms and country kitchens take dining to a new level with cooked-to-order meals and a wide variety of options. Spacious living areas include fireplaces and provide more room for residents and families to gather. Masonic Village’s 60-acre campus, just outside Pittsburgh, offers walking paths, outdoor courtyards and a Veterans Garden to honor all those who have served our country. Our staff will be happy to answer your questions, review costs and schedule a personal tour when you’re ready.

Nursing and Memory Support Care Frequently Asked Questions Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid? Yes. Masonic Village is Medicare and Medicaidcertified. Medicare can assist in covering medical bills both on or off-campus. Any services provided by Masonic Village medical staff would be billed to your insurance. Services provided by physicians or outside healthcare providers, such as dentists or hospitals, would be billed directly by those providers. When a resident in nursing care reaches around $20,000 in remaining assets, they must contact the Finance Department to start the process for Medical Assistance (Medicaid). This program assists with covering charges at the facility when assets deplete. All residents must maintain eligibility for Medical Assistance and other thirdparty payers by preserving financial resources for the cost of their care and services. What furnishings are offered in my accommodation? Accommodations in the Sturgeon Health Care Center are private and shared-private. An electric twin bed, night stand with lamp, recliner, dresser and closet are provided. A flatscreen television is attached to the wall for each resident, and cable is included in the daily rate. May I bring my own furnishings? Additional furnishings and personal items (pictures, remembrances from home, etc.) may be brought as space permits. This could include a favorite chair, small table, ottoman or bookcase. What clothing should I bring? We recommend you bring clothing comfortable for everyday wear. We provide weekly laundry services for a monthly fee, or family may provide laundry services should they wish. If you are utilizing our laundry services, your clothing will be marked with your name when laundered. Masonic Village will provide towels and linens.

The same person can be appointed for both, or a different person can be appointed for each. What activities are available?
