DID YOU GET AN UNDERSTANDING?
Have you ever been told something by someone (Boss, Family member, Friend, Pastor), and you did not really understand what they were saying to you? It happens a lot to all of us. If what you are being told is important and want to make sure that get it right, you should ask the person for clarification.
When it comes to God and Spiritual understanding, we must make sure that we have the right and correct information and most of all that we get the right understanding of God’s word. You have heard Pastor Moye say many a times that “You need to get an understanding” of God’s word.
The word “understanding” is used in the “NIV” version of the bible 112 times. That tells me that it is important to understand God’s word.
Proverbs 3: 13 (NIV) tells us “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding”. You see you can have all the wisdom in the world but without an understanding of that wisdom we have nothing spiritually. God also warns us of using our understanding for spiritual things in Proverbs 3:5 (NIV) “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
How do you get spiritual understanding? The first thing is to pray for God to give it to you. John 16:24 (NIV) Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” You can also get understanding from attending “Sunday School” and “Wednesday night Bible Study”. We should read the Bible Daily, but we must make sure that what we read we have an understanding. If you don’t have an understanding, then ask God, or your Sunday school teacher, or a Deacon or a Minister. I am sure that, if you do that you will not only have wisdom but understanding of God’s word.
Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday April 20th, 2025!
God Bless,
Asst. Pastor Jonathan

Spring Forward in Faith:AMessage from the PPBC Women’s Ministry Union
As we step into the month of April, we are surrounded by signs of new life, fresh hope, and divine possibility. Spring reminds us that God specializes in making things bloom again even the things we thought were long gone. This season, let us spring forward in faith, trusting that what God has planted in us will grow in due season.
But let us also be reminded: we are strong and resilient. As women and girls of faith, we’ve endured, adapted, and overcome much and through it all, we’ve continued to rise. Strength doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it whispers in our prayers, it shows up in our consistency, and it lives in our quiet “yes” to God’s call.
So, what can we do together?
• We can be present.
• We can mentor.
• We can serve.
• We can speak up.
• We can pray.
• We can lead by example.
In our church, we can pour into the next generation of girls through mentorship and ministry. We can support our senior saints, volunteer for outreach, and show up for one another. In our community, we can lend a helping hand, lead with compassion, and be a voice for the voiceless.
And above all, let us do it in love. Love is the thread that binds us together. When we choose love over judgment, grace over gossip, and unity over division, we become a powerful reflection of Christ. The Word tells us in Colossians 3:14,
"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Let’s stand side by side, heart to heart, hand in hand because when we move together in love, there’s nothing we can’t do.
Let’s rise. Let’s bloom. Let’s build. Let’s serve. And above all, let’s love together.
Additionally, as we continue our 40-Day Lenten Fast, which concludes on Thursday, April 17, let us remain intentional in prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. This sacred time calls us to draw closer to God through fasting, repentance, and acts of service.
We warmly invite all women and young ladies to join us in upcoming Women’s Ministry Union events, Bible studies, and service opportunities. Let us stay steadfast in our commitment to discipleship, outreach, and spiritual growth, ensuring that every woman finds a place of belonging and encouragement in Christ.
We encourage all women of PPBC to stay engaged in ministry, deepen their relationship with God, and continue being vessels of love and service. Let us lift one another up in prayer, encourage each other in faith, and walk boldly in the purpose God has given us.
In His love,
Min Natasha Sunday Clarke Women's Ministry Director

DISCIPLES OF SILENT PRAISE
Praise Dance and Mime Ministry
Let us praise His name with the dance! (Psalm 149:3)
Dancing is how we express with our bodies what our hearts feels towards the Lord. We have to be expressive with both our bodies and faces, so that everyone can see the joy we feel within our hearts. We may wave our arms above our heads, clap wildly, sway our bodies, and move our heads to the music, but we won’t let anyone tell us that our style of praise is wrong. As long as it is praise, there is no right or wrong way. We don’t only minister to our brothers and sisters in Christ, but we minister to ourselves as well. We are continuously seeking God to show Himself in us that we may be pleasing in His sight and do what He has called us to do; to minister to His people through dance.
