THE MIND OF CHRIST
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians
2: 4-5
With the beginning of a new year, God grants us new opportunities to be faithful in our service to Him. For us, this involves being faithful to the work that He has placed in our hands to do. One way of doing this is to establish within us “The Mind of Christ” and to listen to the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
So, just what is the mind of Christ? It is the mind that chooses humility over pride; service over demand; a mind that regards others with love and seeks opportunities to dispense grace and mercy. God is wise and loving and ask that we grow in the knowledge of His ways.
To be more like Christ, we must seek to think like Him, live for Him, and emulate Him. We must also meditate on God’s word and the examples of the life of Christ. We must learn to discern the mind that compels His humble acts of love and grace. Ask Him to work in your thoughts so that He may conform your mind to His.
Psalm 1:6 tells “For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish. God is watchful over us, giving His attention and care to the path He sets before us, and His guidance informs our steps. This is one of the many blessings of the Lord. When we earnestly seek His face, as he guides and lights our paths, we then begin to establish “The Mind of Christ”.
THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL
Michael Masser and Linda Creed, in 1977, wrote a song entitled “The Greatest Love of All” which was recorded by George Benson. In February of 1985, the song was further popularized by my favorite pop singer, Whitney Houston, when she included the song on her debut album for Arista Records (we know this is old, an “Album” LOL). The song and the video were an instant hit.
I think it is a beautiful song, but I do have to disagree with the chorus that states “Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all”. Don’t get me wrong, I, think we need to love ourselves and take care of ourselves. But we as Christians have to look to the Bible to find out what the greatest love of all is. As John 15:13 tells us, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one friends”. Jesus did this for all of us. Romans 5:8 tells us “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ (Jesus) died for us”.
By dying for our sins, we now (If we accept Jesus as our savior) can have eternal life in Heaven. Pastor R.A. Vernon from the Word Church put it like this, “Everyone, if possible, should have a child because then you will know that because of the love you have for that child you are willing to die for that child”. Isn’t that what Jesus has done for all of us (died for our sins)?
So during this “Month of Love”, make sure that you tell, or better yet show, someone that you love them! Always remember just how much God loved YOU! “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
Blessings and Love!

Faithful Generations: A February of Prayer, Purpose, and Empowerment
Greetings Church Family,
As we enter February, the month of love and reflection, the Women’s Ministry Union invites you to join us in a spirit of prayer, celebration, and fellowship. We are excited to begin the month with our Women’s Pray with a Purpose Breakfast, a time of intentional prayer, encouragement, and connection. This gathering will set the tone for a month focused on honoring God and empowering one another in His grace.
On Sunday, February 23rd, we will host our annual Women’s Focus Day, under the theme: "Generations of Grace: Honoring Our Legacy, Empowering Our Future." This special day will celebrate the legacy of faith and service built by the women of our church while inspiring the next generation to boldly embrace their God-given purpose.
As part of the program, we will honor our senior saints aged 80 and above for their steadfast contributions to our church family and recognize five senior saints who are still actively working. Our young women and girls will also participate, demonstrating how God is working across every generation.
This month, let us meditate on Proverbs 31:30-31 (NIV): "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." May this scripture encourage us to honor the legacy of the women who have paved the way and inspire us to continue serving with grace and purpose.
We encourage everyone to join us in these events as we come together to celebrate the legacy of grace, and the bright future God has for His daughters. Your prayers, presence, and support will make this month even more meaningful. Together, let us continue to grow, serve, and inspire one another to live out our purpose in Christ.
In His love,
Min Natasha Sunday Clarke Women's Ministry Director

Praise Dance and Mime Ministry
Let us praise His name with the dance! (Psalm 149:3)
Dancing is how we express with our bodies what our hearts feels towards the Lord. We have to be expressive with both our bodies and faces, so that everyone can see the joy we feel within our hearts. We may wave our arms above our heads, clap wildly, sway our bodies, and move our heads to the music, but we won’t let anyone tell us that our style of praise is wrong. As long as it is praise, there is no right or wrong way. We don’t only minister to our brothers and sisters in Christ, but we minister to ourselves as well. We are continuously seeking God to show Himself in us that we may be pleasing in His sight and do what He has called us to do; to minister to His people through dance.
