19/05/2020 Awaiting Return
I’ll be back, my friend. Once the raging storms inside me calm down, When the seas are friendly again, Once the sun is out again, shining down on everything alive, Once the greens start thriving again, sprouting pinks, yellows, whites. I’ll be back to laugh with you again, To play, sing and dance, To count the butterflies in our garden, To feed the birds and the dogs, To count the fireflies, sitting on a blanket, To embrace the stars and feel the warm-chilly winds. I’ll greet the morning bird, and whistle along, I’ll sip from the cup of steaming nectar with you, We’ll watch the raindrops and the colorful paper boats. Let the dust settle down, Let the inner debate conclude, Let time work its magic on the pain, Let the wounds grow skin again, Let the spirit shine strong again, Let the rest be fruitful, Let me be ready to trust the will again, Let me feel the guiding hand and submit to the whims. Let me learn to dance in the rain, Set my heart free and wild again, For a caged and scared one is hardly capable of living, feeling. Let me shelter it for a while until it is ready to step out, Let me teach myself that all is worth the pain if done with good will, Let me recall the value of every step, Let me let go of reason, Let hope blossom again, Let me set the Bird of Expectations free, Let my wings draw strength again. We’ll explore the skies together, Feel the gush in every fibre of our being, We’ll go higher than anyone has ever been, Break the cloud lining and pass through if we have to,
