CLUB NOTES AND UPDATES
Welcome to Parc Ynysderw for this Elite Stands UK Ardal South West League Round 7 game and a warm welcome to everyone associated with our neighbours Clydach Football Club. Welcome also to our Match Officials led by Phillip Harris and to members of our Academy who are attending today as Mascots and Ball Boys.

It’s been a while since we last played at home , over a month actually, but in the meantime we have been excellent on the road. After our home draw against Penrhiwceiber Rangers we had a tricky trip to Cwmbran Stadium but a winner from the head of Josh Dorward saw us get through to the next round of the league cup where we host Evans & Williams. Next up we saw off Treorchy BGC by 8 goals to 1 in the FAW Trophy and we were rewarded with a home tie against Gwent side New Inn. This means we now have 5 home games on the bounce here at Parc Ynysderw starting today as we welcome Clydach FC in the Swansea Valley derby.
Clydach have had a good start to the season and will be tough opponents as they showed in the 3 games we played last season. There will be lots of familiar faces on view and I hope that both teams get a deserved big crowd watching them .
Things are busy around the club and the more observant of you will notice a change to the layout of our catering facilities. We have also undertaken repairs to the dugouts, damaged in recent heavy wins, but most importantly we are taking our first steps, under the leadership of Chairman Jason Dykes, in the future build of our new changing rooms / clubhouse. It is really exciting here at Parc Ynysderw with lots to look forward to.
On the pitch the juniors are up and running for the season although we sadly lost our Under 14s due to short numbers. We have though started an under 7s which is going well. The Under 18s are unbeaten in what has been a frustrating start to the season whilst the Academy sides, once again, are showing why we are up there with the best Academies in Wales. I must mention the Academy Development side who are finding their feet at that level and are now unbeaten in 3 games.

Will was our Peter James Young Player of the Year for the 20242025 season. An outstanding talent in midfield who outshone many an experienced opposition player last season.
