Student of the Month

Congrats to our May student of the month Ivy! Leadership and the teachers at POCS agreed that Ivy goes above and beyond and deserves this award. We interviewed some of Ivy’s peers, including Mrs. Dolan, Mr. Strasser, and her friends. Here's what they said.

What type of person is Ivy?

Riley: She's very kind and she'd do anything for anyone even if she doesn't know them.

Mr. Strasser: Ivy comes to school with a really positive friendly spirit. She's willing to help anyone in the group or anyone in the class. She is a dream for a teacher because of her willingness to ask questions and uses these questions to help other students. I just overall enjoy her friendly vibes. She's a great friend and a great student/kid.

Danika: I think Ivy is really cool and she is very helpful. Ivy is my true inspiration. Whenever I see her sad, it hurts me emotionally. She’s always helping others.

Anonymous: She’s good at looking out for people and is always willing to help. If you fall she’ll help you get up.

Anonymous: She’s cool and she’s really nice. She’s a really good friend and she’s really creative. Anonymous: She’s kind, helpful, and considerate. She’s really selfless and always makes my days better.

Mrs. Dolan: Ivy is a kind, bubbly, positive person.

Dylan: Ivy is a very nice and supportive person. If you’re having a bad day she will do whatever it takes to cheer you up.

Why does Ivy deserve Student of the Month?

Ms. Dolan: Ivy is so deserving of this award because she is always thinking about others and is very mindful of the words people choose. She shows an incredible amount of empathy for others.

Dylan: She really deserves this award because she is very supportive of everything and does lots of things for other people.

Danika: She deserves to be student of the month because she's very generous and is very empathetic. She will have empathy for others no matter what.

Riley: Ivy deserves student of the month because of how kind she is.

Mr. Strasser: Ivy deserves the award because of how friendly she is and how much she helps others.

We hope more people in the future will spread all of this kindness around the campus.
