Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's fairytale wedding in 2018 was one of the most-talked about affairs of the year. After a couple of years of dating, the two tied the knot in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony, and then hosted a grand reception at night for the Bollywood fraternity. A year later, the two still make fans hearts melt with sweet messages to each other on social media. Speaking about married life with Anand, Sonam said, "It's been beautiful! To have someone like Anand as a life partner is a blessing. I have never been happier." Over the past year, Sonam has been busy traveling between cities due to Anand's work, which is mostly based out of Delhi and London, while her work is primarily in Mumbai. However, absence makes the heart grow fonder and long distance has not affected their relationship. Sonam added, "Life hasn't changed much. Of course, I am more in love with him than ever before, but,
of. Every film has its place and every project was a part of my growth. Fortunately, I did not get stereotyped or typecast in any one kind of genre, so I was able to play different roles. I think, starting in the 1990s was the advantage. We got to do so many different kinds of films, she justifies. Director’s muse Different genres, different films, to even different directors — Tabu is perhaps one of the few actress who has had the opportunity to work with so many filmmakers. Be it a David Dhawan comedy, an intense Gulzar film, or adaptations of Shakespearean classics, the actress has done it all. Although everyone praises her for owning the characters and delivering class acts, Tabu is also a director’s muse. Be it Madhur Bhandarkar, R Balki, Mira Nair, Vishal Bharadwaj or others — Tabu is a favourite with everyone. Getting untagged It’s this open mind to portray different roles that has helped the actress remain a diva. Even if she plays the role of a murderer, a mistress, a police officer or a mother, Tabu is always the lead actress and she has never let any tag dull her eagerness to try new characters. "I enjoy this, I do it with love, and I respect the fact that the writer and director have sketched this character and given her so much, says Tabu. So when 'The Namesake' and 'Life of Pi' happened, it wasn’t just about the ‘international’ tag. For Tabu, it was the roles and the directors who mattered. But it’s surprising that despite being a part of two significant global films, the actress didn’t pursue a career in Hollywood. “I didn’t need to. I felt 'The Namesake' and 'Life of Pi' were two of the most iconic, impactful international projects I worked in. Then I didn’t feel the need to (pursue a career in Hollywood). Both films happened just like that, I didn’t need to put an effort (in bagging both films), and that’s the way I have worked all my life. I don’t deliberate things, offers Tabu.
Amitabh Bachchan was a boxer in school, old letter reveals
Actor Amitabh Bachchan is known for his frequent tweets and posts on sports and sportspersons but few know that he himself was an ardent sportsperson and a boxer during his school days. Records of his alma mater, Boy’s High School and College (BHS) of Prayagraj and a letter written by the actor to his school in 2011 is a testament to this fact. As Amitabh celebrated his 77th birthday on Friday, people of his hometown extended their warm wishes to him in their own way. Academic supervisor of his former school CB Luke shared how Bachchan was an active athlete and also boxed as a student during his seven years in the school, between 1949 and 1955. As a student from class one to class seven, he even acted in plays, a fact that he himself conceded in a letter written to the school on November 3, 2011—the year BHS celebrated its 150th anniversary. In the letter, the Bollywood star wrote about his athletic achievements on the playing field, the boxing ring, and also about his escapades on the stage.
“During my years in BHS, the academic initiation that I imbibed became forerunners of whatever else I was to pursue in time to come, he wrote, adding that he was member of the Blue House. Remembering his principal “Mr Dutt, Amitabh recalled how under his disciplined guidance and care, there were many moral and social initiatives that were imparted to

Sonam Kapoor on married life with Anand Ahuja: I have never been happier
"A timeless Diva" Actress Tabu personifies the Latin proverb, ‘still waters run deep’. Bearing a calm demeanour, unperturbed by the attention she gets, Tabu has managed to stand her ground in an unforgiving industry where with age, many actresses just wither away. It has been 28 years since Tabu’s first film (the Telugu superhit 'Coolie No 1', opposite Venkatesh) and she continues to be the leading lady of all her chosen movies. A Padma Shri awardee and two-time National Film Award (Best Actress) winner, the list of awards and nominations keep getting new additions. The last honour she bagged was the IFFM 2019 Best Actress Award conferred by the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, earlier in August this year, for her performance in 'Andhadhun'. Blind faith With Rs 324 crore in collections, the Sriram Raghavan thriller became the third top-grossing Indian film in China. For Tabu, it’s just another milestone. "It’s very gratifying, and it feels good to see that apart from my performance, the film got so much love and respect from everybody. I am humbled and extremely honoured. But I never want to take all this success and admiration for granted. I just have a lot of gratitude towards everyone who loved this film so much! she says. Although Tabu has experimented with different genres, and gave her fans and audience the unforgettably vicious Nimmi (Lady Macbeth) from 'Maqbool', Simi was different and so was 'Andhadhun'. Comedy rules While 'Andhadhun' is a runaway success, the other recent film that the actress starred in, 'De De Pyaar De', had a disappointing run at the box office. The modern-day romantic comedy certainly didn’t impress either the audiences or the critics. However, Tabu shone bright in it. It’s not the first time that she has worked in such light-hearted flicks. A look back at her career and Tabu has starred alongside Govinda, Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar in commercial comedies. “I have never judged or never discriminated between films, I just wanted to experience working in different genres. All the directors I have worked with so far were significant in their own right, and in the industry. I wanted to play different roles and that’s what excited me. 'Biwi No. 1' was fantastic. My character was funny and entertaining, but not caricaturish. Likewise, 'Saajan Chale Sasural' was a lot of fun to be a part

in terms of work, it's the same. We give each other's work a lot of importance. So, we understand. Besides, we always make it a point to take time out for each other. On days we can't, we have a mutual understanding. The key is effective and clear communication, which we always maintain." Asked what the biggest takeaway from her relationship is, Sonam said, "Being with the right person puts everything else in motion. Anand and I truly believe in empowering, loving, and supporting each other. The fact that I can be myself with him is the most important part of us." On the work front, Sonam will next be seen in The Zoya Factor, which will hit the screens on September 20. The film is based on the adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel of the same name. It stars Dulquer Salmaan in a crucial role.

Ayushmann Khurrana on his role in Dream Girl: Delivered 25 per cent of my dialogues in woman's voice 2019 is a happy year for Ayushmann Khurrana, as he recently won his first National Film Award for Andhadhun and has won hearts of the audience through his performance in "Dream Girl". Two of Ayushmann's films from last year, Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, have already won big at the National Film Awards this year. Ayushmann, who is riding high on commercial and critical success, talked about his dubbing experience for Raaj Shaandilyaa's directorial venture Dream Girl. He essayed the role of a small-town guy in the film, who has the ability to speak in the voices of different women. In an interview, the actor spilled the beans on how he modulated his voice for the preparation of his character in the film. "I had to deliver 25 per cent of my dialogues in a woman's voice. Since I come from a radio background, it's easier for me to modulate my voice. I have spent years behind the mic, mimicking different people. Raaj had given me the references of a few men, who prank people by talking like a woman. I studied those videos extensively," he said. "The biggest challenge was to crack the right note. As a guy, I have a natural (deep) baritone and that makes it difficult to sound convincing as a woman," the actor added. Ayushmann, who has worked as a radio jockey in the past, also said, "To transition between voices was challenging, but it wasn't one bit exhausting.
