Directed by Gurmmeet Singh the horror-comedy stars Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter in leading roles. The film was supposed to begin in March of this year however the shooting had to be postponed due to second wave of the coronavirus Reportedly the actors will begin reading sessions by mid-August. hilpa Shetty was questioned by the Mumbai Police’s crime branch on 23 July in connection with the alleged porn racket involving her husband Raj Kundra. The actress has claimed that she has nothing to do with mobile application of her husband, HotShots and was not aware of the exact content on the platform. According to reports by ANI Shilpa Shetty has said her husband is innocent and that erotica is different from pornography. She also claimed that Kundra wasn’t involved in producing porn content. Shilpa Shetty has revealed that Pradeep Bakshi, the London-based wanted accused and Raj Kundra’s brother-in-law was the one involved with the app and its
functioning. A local court on 24th July had extended the police custody of Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe till 27th July. Kundra has now moved the Bombay High Court challenging his arrest in the case and said in his plea that material which the police claim to be pornographic do not “depict direct explicit sexual acts and
sexual intercourse but shows material in the form of short movies which are lascivious or appeal to the prurient interest of persons at best”. 10 other people other than Raj Kundra and have been arrested by the Mumbai Police earlier this week for their alleged involvement in the creation of porn films and publishing them
through apps. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale has claimed that Kundra “appears to be the key conspirator” in the case. The case was registered with the Mumbai Police’s crime branch Mumbai in February. The investigation so far has revealed that Kundra and his associates bought more than 100 porn videos over the past oneand-a-half years and uploaded them on Hotshots. The probe revealed that the app has around 2 million subscribers. The police also found that data has been deleted from the server and other electronic equipment seized by them from Kundra’s Viaan company’s office. Police officers are now taking the help of forensic experts to retrieve the deleted data.

But when they see the film, they will know that there was no need for that,” noted Prakash. Prakash also clarified that the new film is not a remake of previous one but a completely different story. “We’re not remaking the previous film, but we are attempting a new story in a completely different zone with a new set of characters. As someone who has herself battled with depression, Deepika has launched a new initiative to provide assistance to frontline workers in overcoming mental health issues amid the Covid19 pandemic. Through the initiative ‘Frontline Assist’ the sale proceeds from the Deepika Padukone Closet will go to NGO Sangath’s dedicated Covid-19 well-being centre. Talking about her battle with depression the actress said, “It basically started in February 2014…I felt empty, directionless and it just felt life had no meaning or purpose. I couldn’t feel anything physically or emotionally. I just felt this void… I felt this for days, weeks and months until one day my family was here and they were going back home and when they were packing their bags, I was sitting in their room and suddenly broke down. That’s when my mother realised for the first time that
something was different. My cry was different. It wasn’t the usual boyfriend issue or stress at work. She kept asking me is it this or that. I couldn’t pin point one specific reason. It was her experience and presence of mind that she encouraged me to seek help.” “Life post mental illness is a ‘before and after’. I had a particular life before depression and I have a very different life after that. I keep saying that there’s not a day that goes by without me thinking about my mental health. To ensure I don’t go back into that space, it’s very important for me to focus on the quality of my sleep, nutrition, hydration, exercise, how do I process stress and my thoughts and mindfulness. These are the things I have to do on daily basis not because they are fancy words or it’s cool to do this but I won’t be able to survive if I don’t do all these things,” she concluded. In 2015 Deepika had revealed that she was diagnosed with depression a year before and had sought help.

ctress Shruti Haasan has been very open about the need to look after mental health in previous years. Especially in the time of the pandemic she has been giving more stress on the topic. Talking about the need for professional guidance in such cases, the actress says she has been in therapy when she was younger and yet, being a part of an industry that can frequently be high on the stress factor, she still feels inadequate on many days. Shruti believes it is important to be aware if someone needs help over mental health and not brush the topic under the carpet with an “I am fine” attitude. “Mental health is really simple and really complex at the same time. I always use this example that if you have a stomach ache, you will have ajwain or yogurt and avoid spicy stuff on the first day. On the second day you will say, ‘ok, let me take medicine’, but on the third day when you are still in pain, you will go to the doctor and seek help. At that point no one in your family says, ‘hum hai, tum doctor ke paas kyun ja rahe ho’ (we are here, why
would you need a doctor)?” she explains. “I see that as the whole problem because of how the fam jam scene is in India. It’s like ‘you have your cousins, your friends, why can’t you talk to me?’ I understand the sentiment but when it comes to mental health, the worst attitude you can have is ‘chin up’ or ‘I am fine’,” she adds. Highlighing the issue of many people not even aware of the help they need the actress says,”The cracks start happening
and usually I see people have what I call ‘mild breakdowns’. Usually, people don’t even realise what they are going through.” “The feeling of inadequacy can be so overwhelming and, mind you, I was a psychology student and dropped out but continued studying psychology. I have friends who have therapists. I have been in therapy when I was younger and still when it comes to managing my emotions and sensitivity, in an industry that is very
heightened in every sense — be it stress or creativity — I felt inadequate on many days. It took me a while to say, ‘I just need a bit of me-time’. It’s not an easy thing but me having this opportunity to speak about and somebody reading this that is how the change spreads” the actress adds. Shruti has been using the lockdown to make new music and doing whatever makes her happy. “I must say that I have always spoken about mental health. This is something that when I acknowledged, my
life changed. Acknowledging things about myself and getting the help I needed without feeling imperfect, inadequate or judged. Mostly, there is society’s judgement and stigma around. But when the pandemic hit, everyone started talking about it because it had to be discussed. People were feeling a sense of loss — loss of financial security, love and control,” The actress says emphasizing that her life changed when she acknowledged the need to seek help. Talking about the amount of awareness about mental health in India she says, “I believe people world over are a lot more aware and, especially in India, people are a lot more speaking about it. I genuinely believe that mental health awareness has come to the forefront. There are so many avenues for people to understand that you can get help online because of the distance. People know how to use technology — be it through zoom calls or skype calls. I was always doing therapy long distance because my therapist was based out of London. So, I always knew that it is possible once you have made that

ndia had a great start at Olympics as Mirabai Chanu created history by winning the silver medal in the women’s weightlifting (49kg category). Hailing from Manipur Chanu became the second weightlifter from India to win an Olympic medal, after Karnam Malleshwari who had won bronze in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. This is the first time in history where India ended up winning a medal on the first day of the
tournament. The 26-year-old also becomes the first Indian weightlifter to win a Silver. Chanu had made her Olympic debut in the 2016 Rio Olympics however back then she had failed to pull off even one legal lift in Clean and Jerk. After that heartbreaking experience she made a successful comeback in the 2017 World Championship and 2018 Common Wealth Games. And now she has won silver at the Tokyo
Olympics. Chanu lifted a total weight of 202 kg to win the medal. Meanwhile the gold in the event was won by China’s Hou Zhihui, who picked a combined weight total of 210 kg. Chanu was successfully able to lift the 84 kg and 87 kg but failed to lift the 89 kg in the third attempt. She finished in second place after the snatch.

Malik defeated Belarus rival Kseniya Patapovich by 5-0 in the 73 kg weight category. Malik had earlier won gold in the 2019 edition of Khelo India in Pune and then went on to win another gold in the same year at the 17th School Games that were held in Delhi.
