Arts Education

Supervise and support Performing and Visual & Media Arts Coordinators, cultivate and sustain relationships with community stakeholders, philanthropists, business and government leaders, spearhead the development and revision of rigorous arts education curricula aligned to the National Core Arts Standards that is culturally relevant and responsive to the needs of all students, collaborate with district and school leadership to ensure supports in Arts Education are provided.

Leading and supporting a vision for K-12 Literacy in the District that is focused on raising student achievement and creating high-quality learning experiences for all students; Planning, implementing and supporting K-12 literacy instruction and programming and evaluating and improving the quality of school-based K-12 literacy programs; Working alongside academic teams in aligning core Literacy curriculum and assessments to the PA and Common Core State Standards; planning and executing professional development for K-12 teachers and principals.
