GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

These Exhibition Health Requirements apply to all livestock present at the fair including those animals that are not entered in competitive events.

All out-of-state animals shall require an entry permit. Entry permit numbers are available online at https:// entrypermit.agr.illinois.gov/Login.aspx

2. All animals, except as noted, shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) which shows that the animal meets all health requirements for the State of Illinois. CVI’s shall be made available to Bureau of Animal Health Personnel on request. If an official electronic CVI is utilized, the exhibitor should be able to log on and show Bureau of Animal Health Personnel the completed CVI.

CVI means a legible record made on an official form from the state of origin which has been issued, signed and dated by an accredited veterinarian and which shows the name and address of the animal’s owner or exhibitor and the results of all required tests or vaccinations. A CVI shall list only one animal identification per line; shall be presented on the form on which it was initially issued; and shall not be corrected, changed or altered in any manner.

3. All animals shall be officially identified. The animal(s) official identification shall be recorded on the CVI.

animals in the United States that provides a nationally unique identification number for each animal. The AIN consists of 15 digits, with the first 3 being the country code (840 for the United States or a unique country code for any U.S. territory that has such a code and elects to use it in place of the 840 code).

4. If animals are from tuberculosis accredited, brucellosis certified, pseudorabies qualified, or brucellosis validated herds, the identifying herd number(s) along with the date of the last herd test(s) shall appear on the CVI.

5. CVIs for out-of-state livestock shall be void thirty (30) days after issuance.

6. CVIs for Illinois-origin livestock shall be void ninety (90) days after issuance.

7. All livestock shall be subject to examination upon entry to any Illinois fair or exhibition. Any animal showing evidence of infectious, contagious or communicable diseases shall be immediately withdrawn and held in quarantine at the owner’s risk and expense until properly treated and recovered, or until the animal is released to return to the owner’s premise.

Any livestock infected with scabies, mange, active

lesions of ringworm, soremouth, or multiple warts which are easily visible without close examination shall not be permitted to exhibit and are subject to quarantine or removal from the fairgrounds. Sheep and goats with caseous lymphadenitis as evidenced by draining abscesses shall not be exhibited and are subject to immediate quarantine or removal from the fairgrounds.

8. Illinois Department of Agriculture personnel or designee may collect blood, tissue, milk or urine samples from any animal being exhibited and/or raced at any Illinois fair to test for the presence of illegal drugs or banned substances. Examination techniques, such as ultrasound, may also be used at anytime while the animals are on the grounds of any Illinois fair or exhibit.

The Illinois Department of Agriculture or designee may collect urine, blood, tissue or other test samples from exhibition animals at the time of slaughter.

Any practice or deviation from normal, accepted care, including physical, medical or mechanical application, shall constitute a violation of show rules and may result in the animal(s) disqualification and removal from the fairgrounds.

10. Any Illinois cattle, bison, cervidae or goats being exhibited in non-accredited free states must be isolated from the remainder of the herd/flock upon return to Illinois and retested for tuberculosis 60-120 days postentry.

CATTLE Identification

Individual identification of each animal shall be either a fully healed and legible tattoo, approved official ear tag, registration number (can only be used if the tattoo is recorded on the registration certificate or for breeds where pictures are acceptable), or individual brands, if brand is recorded on the registration certificate. 2023 Little Miss Queen’s Farewell

Hi, my name is Tennyson Logan. I can’t believe it but the time has come for me to pass my crown along to the next Little Miss Perry County. To whoever is blessed enough to get to become the next Little Miss, just know, you are about to have the time of your life!

You will get to make so many memories that you will never forget, and along the way you will meet so many wonderful people and make friendships that will last a lifetime. From your sister queens and other county queens to your family and your friends, there are so many things in store for you. Whether it is riding rides at all the county fairs, getting dressed to go to other pageants as visiting royalty, or riding in parades and visiting the State Pageant to cheer on you Miss; YOU will have the time of your life! My only advice is, remember to always SMILE!

Before my reign is complete, there are a few people I would like to thank. I would like to thank my mom for spending these last 12 months with me every step of the way. Thanks to my dad and Tate for letting us always be gone to pageants and for driving me in the parades. Thank you, Aunt Sue and Uncle Tom, for letting us use your fancy cars. Thank you to my aunts and Molly for approving my wardrobe and to Maw Maw and Na Na for always telling me I am beautiful. Thank you, Miss Stacey, for being the best director ever and Miss Keeley for always keeping my mom up to date and to Miss Karen for making this Pageant so fun.

Gracie thank you for always making me laugh and letting me always hand out the first trophy. Thank you Raylee for being my role model and treating me more like I am 18 than I am 7. You are the Miss that we all hope to be some day. And finally, thank you to the Perry County Fair Board for making this whole thing possible. I truly have made memories that I will never forget.

Signing off for the last time, I am Tennyson Logan,

Your Little Miss Perry County 2023,

Tennyson Logan

2023 Junior Miss Queen’s Farewell

My year as Junior Miss Perry County has been amazing and definitely a year that I will never forget! From the blazing hot sun at the Perry County Fair to the pouring down rain at Mardi Gras, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. This title has not only been a wish come true but a blessing. Not only have I gained sisters that I’ve always wished for, but a group that I know I can always turn to. Thank you to the Fair board, Stacey, my sisters Raylee and Tennyson, my family and everyone else that has supported me! Being your Junior Miss Perry County has been everything I always dreamed it would be! I will treasure it always!

Your Jr. Miss Perry County 2023,

Gracie Martin

Miss Perry County Fair Queen’s Farewell

My reign as the 2023 Miss Perry County Fair Queen has been nothing short of amazing. I am so truly grateful for having this opportunity to be able to represent the Perry County Fair. I have had great opportunities to meet new people, gain friendships and bonds that will last forever, grow my communication and leadership skills, and even represent our county at the state pageant. I would like to thank the Perry County Fair board for all of the hard work and dedication they give to the fair and this pageant. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. I have gained two sisters that have become my little besties that I will cherish forever. It has been so much fun representing Perry County with the both of you this year. To my director and assistant-director. Liz once said that you two are the dream team and she could have not been any more spot on. I cannot thank you two enough for helping me be the best/most confident version of myself for state. Thank you to all of my friends and family that have supported me throughout this year. You all have been amazing. Thank you to all of Perry County for welcoming me into this role. You sure do know how to make a girl feel loved. I am so humbled to be a part of a sisterhood this astonishing. I am honored to be able to say that I am and forever will be

your 2023Miss Perry County Fair Queen,

Raylee Carrol
