Florence Community Services Activity Guide

A LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

IIwas recently sharing some of the fantastic activities offered at the Dorothy Nolan Senior Center and realized their full array of programs and services might not be widely known throughout our community. To address this, I’d like to highlight the range of offerings available at the Senior Center.

The Dorothy Nolan Senior Center offers Florence residents aged 55+ a variety of social, recreational, cultural, and educational programs year-round. There truly is something for every interest!

Our comprehensive memory care services are designed to transform lives and enhance well-being. We provide personalized attention to promote cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, along with monthly health checks, daily interactions, and socialization opportunities. Our center staff can also provide helpful information regarding utility assistance, advanced care planning resources, and other social services.

In partnership with the Pinal Gila Council for Senior Citizens, we provide a subsidized, nutritious meal Monday through Friday at 11:30 am. Other amazing programs include educational classes, day trip adventures, special events, emotional support groups, medical transportation, and numerous other social and educational opportunities.

The Senior Center is located at 330 N. Pinal

Street and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Feel free to drop by for more information about the wide variety of activities, social services, and volunteer opportunities we offer.

Volunteers play a crucial role in the daily operations of the Senior Center. Opportunities include leading craft activities, kitchen aides, front desk support, and much more. If you love helping people and want to positively impact your community, volunteering at the Senior Center could be a perfect fit for you.

For monthly brochures and calendars, visit our webpage at https://www.florenceaz.gov/ senior-center/ or drop by the center’s front desk. Our friendly team would love to assist you in any way we can!

Facility and park reservation fees are per hour with a two hour minimum.

Cancellations due to unforeseen weather conditions that make it impossible to utilize our facilities will be offered a partial refund or the option to change the date/facility. These requests must be made within three business days with a member of the Florence Community Services staff.

If the permittee chooses to cancel or move their reservation for any other reason, a request for a partial refund or change of date/facility must be made at least 10 business days prior to the facility rental date in order for the request to be granted. All partial refunds granted will be minus 20% or $10 (whichever is greater).

*Field lights and additional field prep incur extra fees
