PICPA RIZAL CHAPTER OFFICERS
FY 2022-2023

The PICPA Rizal Chapter presents the following directors and officers for FY 20222023 led by Chapter President Ms. Rosemarie Gatlabayan.


On June 24-25, 2022, the PICPA held its Annual National Planning for the fiscal year 2022-2023.



The said national event was attended by representatives of all national, regions and chapters.


As for the representative of PICPA Rizal Chapter, Chapter President Ms. Rosemarie Gatlabayan and Chapter President-Elect Mr. Robert Arellano represented the said event.

TURNOVER & 16TH INDUCTION CEREMONY

On July 16, 2022, PICPA Rizal Chapter held its 16th Turnover and Induction Ceremony at Barangay San Isidro Hall, Antipolo City.



During the said event, outgoing President Danniboy Cero handed over the PICPA flag and bell to incoming President Rosemarie Gatlabayan.
The event was graced by Hon. Josefina Gatlabayan, Vice Mayor of Antipolo. Also, the Senior Regional Director of PICPA Southern Tagalog, Ms Imelda Paclibar gave her inspirational messages to newly conducted officers. Past Prseidents of Rizal Chapter has also attended the ceremony.















TREEPLANTING PROGRAM



On July 17, 2022, the PICPA Rizal Chapter has organized four events to celebrate the Accountancy Week.

To start the day, a Thanksgiving Mass was held at Antipolo Cathedral. After the mass, the officers led by President Rosemarie Gatlabayan had a treeplanting event at Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City.

The tree planting was done to contribute to global reforestation and repairing damaged ecosystems.

FEEDING PROGRAM



After the tree planting, the officers held a feeding program with the Dumagat Children at Antipolo City. The said program was held to provide nourishment to to childrens who has no access to basic necessities such as foods. Also, to address short-term hunger and nutrient deficiency.

Simultaneously, a feeding program was held with children with Down Syndrome in coordination with Lil Brave Hearts Antipolo Chapter.

HOW TO HANDLE TAX AUDITS SUCCESSFULLY AND TAX UPDATES
PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its first face to face seminar during this pandemic.





The seminar entitled “How to Handle Tax Audits Successfully and Tax Updates” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Dr. Enrique C. Pinos. It was held at GEMS Hotel & Conference Center at Antipolo City. This was attended by 47 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Diana Ross Nono, Chapter Secretary, as the Moderator.

PHILIPPINE FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS FOR SMES AND SMALL ENTITIES






PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its first webinar during this pandemic. The seminar entitled “Philippine Financial Reporting Standards for SMEs and Small Entities” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Mr. Jeff-Mike Smith V. Sule via Zoom platform. This was attended by 25 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Diana Ross Nono, Chapter Secretary, as the Moderator.

SUSTAINING ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP: KEEPING FORWARD IN ADVERSITIES



PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its second webinar during this pandemic. The seminar entitled “Sustaining Organizational Leadership: Keeping Forward in Adversities” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Ms. Paulette H. Dela Cruz via Zoom platform. This was attended by 27 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Dineth S, Larsen, Chapter Director for Commerce & Industry, as the Moderator.




TRIPLE BOTTOMLINE IN MANAGING ORGANIZATIONS



PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its third webinar during this pandemic. The webinar entitled “Triple Bottomline in Managing Organizations” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Mr. Danny A. Cabulay via Zoom platform. This was attended by 33 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Connery V. Omamos, Chapter Asst. Secretary, as the Moderator.




PREPARING REPLY TO BIR ASSESSMENTS (WITH TAX CASES AND DECISIONS)



PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its second seminar during this pandemic. The seminar entitled “Preparing Reply to BIR Assessments (With Tax Cases and Decisions)” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Atty. Arnold A. Apdua at Ynares Event Center at Antipolo City. This was attended by 43 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Hedy Ann G. Pajarillo, Chapter Asst. Auditor, as the Moderator.



PQF SUMMIT: GOVERNMENT PRACTICE –UNDERSTANDING PQF IN THE GOVERNMENT PRACTICE




PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its first general membership meeting. The said general membership meeting offered two webinars, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning webinar is chapter’s fourth webinar during this pandemic. The webinar entitled “PQF Summit: Government Practice –Understanding PQF in the Government Practice” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Ms. Yolanda L. Espinas via Zoom platform. This was attended by 84 participants. The seminar was competently handled by Ms. Melissa S. Constantino, Chapter Director for Government, as the Moderator. The said webinar was offered for free for members in good standing to enhance the status and value of their profession within organizations and in glocal communities which will enable to be at par with other standards of international communities.



PERSONAL BRANDING FOR ACCOUNTANTS: YOUR EDGE TO SUCCEEDING IN TIMES OF THE NEW NORMAL


PICPA Rizal Chapter for the fiscal year 2022-2023 conducted its first general membership meeting. The said general membership meeting offered two webinars, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The afternoon webinar is chapter’s fifth webinar during this pandemic. The webinar entitled “Personal Branding for Accountants: Your Edge to Succeeding Times in the New Normal” was conducted with Resource Speaker, Mr. Howell V. Mabalot via Zoom platform. This was attended by 173 participants. The webinar was competently handled by Ms. Dineth S. Larsen, Chapter Director for Commerce and Industry, as the Moderator. The said webinar was offered for free for members in good standing to inspire pride in being a PICPAn through branding and communications by being present in various social media platforms.





COURTESY CALL WITH GOV. NINA YNARES


On August 3, 2022, the PICPA Rizal Chapter officers paid a courtesy call to Office of the Governor of Rizal where the participants had a dialog with Governor Nina Ynares. The discussion includes using the Ynares Event Center for seminars of Rizal Chapter and various activities wherein the chapter could help and collaborate with the programs of government of Rizal.



CHAPTER'S FORUM WITH PICPA NATIONAL PRESIDENT ERWIN ALCALA

On August 18, 2022, the PICPA Rizal Chapter officers had a chapter's forum with PICPA National President Erwin Vincent Alcala. The forum was conducted as this was the project of National President to meet all the chapters of PICPA in the Philippines.
