SIQUIJOR (PIA) -- “There is no single ‘silver bullet’ solution to the climate change crisis. Changing our relationship with the land is a vital part of limiting climate change.” This according to the Special Report on Climate Change and Land launched on Aug. 8 by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that was also shared by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) here during the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-initiated Seminar on Greening Practices for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at The Sylvia Bar and Restaurant in San Juan, Siquijor. The report was done within two years with 107 leading scientists from 52 countries across all regions of the world. “Over two years in the making, the report looks at how the way we use our land contributes to climate change and how climate change affects the land. It specifically looks at desertification, land degradation, sustainable land management, food security, and greenhouse gas fluxes in terrestrial PIA Siquijor GICC Rizalie Calibo sharing the recently ecosystems,” said Rizalie Calibo of PIA Siquijor.
