LRNDP workshop facilitator and coordinator of the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) program, Bernie Camilo, said the LRNDP Updating tries to utilize a bottom-up approach in road project identification originating at the local level following observation that there is no significant collaboration and integration among the programs in the implementation of road network projects. Camilo said that aligned with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), updating of the LRNDP is based on DILG MC 2020-119 which calls for the creation of integrated LRNDP encompassing provincial, municipal, and barangay road as necessary to facilitate the assessment of connectivity and viability of local projects within the locality. The updated version of LRNDP for 2021-2025 will elaborate road connectivity in line with the economic growth vis-a-vis environmental and social safeguards. Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Jason Manos said, in his presentation of the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) 20162022, that there is a need to update the plan, noting that 50 percent of the data are already outdated. He said that with DILG’s department
