PetroEnergyResourcesCorporation’s(PERC)3rd quarter2021consolidated net income improved by 38% to P158MM from P115MM over the same periodlast year. Net incomeattributedto equity holdersofPERC jumpedby 115% to P89MM from P41MM in 3Q 2020.

PERC,amemberoftheYuchengcoGroupofCompanies(YGC),isengaged in petroleum exploration and production in Gabon, West Africa and renewableenergy(RE)developmentinthePhilippines. PERC’sREholding unit, PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC), operates five power stations in the country through three operating companies – the 32MW Maibarara geothermal project by Maibarara Geothermal Inc., the 70MW Tarlac solar project by PetroSolar Corporation, and the 36 MW Nabas-1 wind project by PetroWind Energy Inc.

PERC’s consolidated net income as of 3rd quarter 2021 has reached P544MM, 30% higher than last year’s P417MM while net income attributed toequityholdersofPERCalsoincreasedby60%fromP203MMtoP323MM. Driving the significant increase in profits were the rise in crude oil price over the same period from US$ 43.22/bbl to US$ 72.86/bbl and higher electricity sales from its Tarlac solar and Nabas wind power plants.
