The Landmark

Experts in permitted development rights and construction management, Colmore Tang Construction has experience in converting buildings into residential and leisure facilities.

Waterfront canal side complex The seven storey office block consists of 136 one-bed flats, 37 two-beds and 8 studios including six luxury rooftop penthouse apartments.

In 2016, four of its key construction sites across the West Midlands were topped out on the same day. In a rare and unique move by the company, projects in Dudley, Worcester and Birmingham City Centre, as well as the newly-opened Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham, were unveiled and opened by dignitaries. All four sites had been completely transformed by Colmore Tang Construction.

In Birmingham, No.1 Hagley Road had seen the redevelopment of Metropolitan House at Five Ways into 271 luxury apartments.

The Landmark in Dudley has seen the former Waterfront offices at Merry Hill converted to 181 luxury new homes, while Bridgewater House in Worcester has seen the transformation of the former Midlands Electricity Board building on Blackpole Road into 75 high-end apartments.

Bridgewater House Worcester This redevelopment project represented the total refurbishment of a former Worcestershire Council owned and operated building. The scheme involved the planned change of use from its former office layout, into 75 residential units.

Fabrick Square is the ÂŁ25 million redevelopment of the former Harrison Drape building on Bradford Street, Digbeth.

The former curtain factory is being transformed into 313 luxury apartments, retaining the original 19th-century facade.

Office refits that shine bright

112 Colmore Row Birmingham City Centre

The Grade II listed building has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, transforming the interior of the building into five floors of luxury office space. Dating back to the early 19th century, the building has maintained many of its original features including sash windows on the first and second floors.

The BID has supported Colmore Tang Construction during its ongoing works at the Fiveways end of Broad Street for over two years. I helped support some of the more innovative planning applications during development works and the firm certainly do think outside the box. An easy company to work with, we’ve worked closely with them on the opening of Broadway Residences and Park Regis Hotel in particular, and they’re clearly good at what they do.

During the construction of the Park Regis hotel, Colmore Tang Construction adapted the scaffolding to support outdoor advertising. The contractor positioned the scaffolding in such a way that the advertising could remain in place for the duration of the project, generating valuable revenue for the client.
