Lifestyle & Residential Collection Autumn 2025

WRISING PROPERTY SALES SIGNAL MARKET SHIFT

e are currently in a dynamic period for both the residential and lifestyle property sectors.

In the three months to December 2024, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) reports that lifestyle property sales rose by 3.8 per cent compared to the previous quarter, and by 19.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2023. Residential market activity is also on the rise, with buyers becoming more confident.

For both residential and lifestyle property we are in a buyers’ market. Listings coming forward in both categories are at a higher level than any other time in the past ten years. Dropping interest rates should provide further stimulus for anyone considering buying. If so, the market will likely go up a gear.

What we hear from our nationwide sales team is that in some districts demand is strong and the market buoyant. It appears that canny purchasers are able to identify excellent value in certain pockets. Cambridge, Raglan, Central Hawke’s Bay and Te Anau are among these districts that appear to be anticipating the upward market trends that look set to take off elsewhere in the coming months.

Improving morale in the rural sector will also play a part. Farmers who in recent years have held off retiring and downsizing will now be more motivated to do so, knowing that the value of their land is rising and they are therefore likely to cash out more favourably. This increased positivity should flow through to lifestyle markets in many districts, and also likely to residential markets in some provincial towns and cities.

Although for many buyers proximity to the metropolitan centres is desirable, as technology increasingly connects the globe this is no longer such a crucial consideration. In most areas, on many budgets, opportunities to purchase an existing developed property, or a bare land block on which to build your dream, are there to be uncovered, especially for those prepared to be patient.

No matter where you are, or whereabouts you plan to realise your town or country, a lifestyle or residential property salesperson from PGG Wrightson Real Estate’s New Zealandwide network will be happy to assist you to reaching your goals. As the leading rural services provider, we are a natural fit for anyone looking to buy or sell property in a rural or provincial community. Since our wider company covers most aspects of rural life and business, we are the obvious solution: the logical step to assist you into any rural community.

Members of our team are eager to hear from you. We look forward to assisting you to realise your dream, whether that be in residential or lifestyle property.

LARGE LIFESTYLE BLOCK OFFERS PLENTY OF OPTIONS

Lynne Donaldson and her late husband Ian bought their Northland grazing block in 2014. Situated at Whareora 14 kilometres east of Whangārei, it comprises a mix of flat and easy rolling country, mainly in pasture, with some native trees and wetland.

“Ian was Whareora born and bred, though we lived in several different places throughout the years, including Australia. He wanted to come back to the area. When we originally found this place, we never intended to live here. It had previously been a dairy farm,” says Lynne.

Ian grew up on a farm. After leaving school he worked with heavy machinery, then he took the opportunity to join the army, stationed in Singapore. Lynne was a registered nurse.

“We have run stock on the property, mainly beef cattle, and currently have 100 heifers, including 60 in calf. When we bought it, it needed new fences, and Ian subdivided it into 15 paddocks, also putting in a stock water system. We lived on a Waikato lifestyle block back then, and commuted. Initially when we stayed here, it was in a caravan. Back then we intended to build a tractor shed with living space above that.”

In 2019 they came up with a better option: a three-bedroom bungalow style longhouse built by students on a Tauranga Polytechnic construction course as the practical part of their apprenticeship.

“It’s an excellent house, though when we found it we needed to relocate it. Transported by road in early 2019, it arrived on a truck at 2.30 one morning. As the construction course was based on the highest standards, when they built it, the tutor and his students didn’t leave any stone unturned. It was built with a high velocity wind rating, which makes it ideal for the top of a hill. It has everything you could ask for. Ian was meticulous: he did the site works himself, so the house is perfectly positioned, with 360-degree views. When the sun rises, first thing in the morning it gives warmth to the kitchen and dining room, then continues to shine around the house throughout the day,” says Lynne.

With the later addition of a mud room, laundry and generous double garage, the house is now fully fit for its rural location.

Ian died in 2023, and Lynne has decided the time has come to sell. She has engaged Dennis Wallace and Barry Banicevich of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Whangārei to sell the property. Dennis says it has varied appeal.

“Set up to be farmed totally independently, with abundant grass growth and its own set of yards, what Lynne and Ian have established has plenty to offer. Either as a smaller grazing block, a lifestyle property with horse riding, an income via continuing to lease out the land, or a multitude of other possibilities, it would suit a young couple starting out, or someone with a business who wants to use the shed and work from home.

“Featuring a modern kitchen and spectacular rural views out over the farm and beyond, best enjoyed from the wrap around decking, the comfortable, appealing modern home with open plan kitchen will be a pleasure to live in, on a lovely piece of land in a sought-after location,” he says.

Lynne is planning to move to Raglan, where she and Ian had a holiday home, and where one of their three sons is now based. However, she will miss Whareora.

“It’s an amazing community: lovely people with old fashioned rural values. We lived in the area when we were first married, so we knew it well, and Ian wanted to return to his roots. Whareora was good to us, and still is,” she says.

OLD SCHOOL VALUES PROVIDE THE GOOD LIFE

Moving from Maungatapere to Matakohe in September 2019, Duncan and Jacqui Findlay’s new home had an interesting history: it was originally the Ararua Primary School.

“This site was a school from way back. At its peak it had 38 pupils, and in 1964 two separate smart new classrooms were built, replacing the original school buildings.

“It was built to high standards, ‘old school’ you might say, with beautiful native wooden floors, insulation, wooden joinery and a north facing aspect perfectly aligned to make the most of the summer and winter sun,” says Duncan.

However, by 1996 the roll had dwindled, and the community decided to close the school, which was sold into private ownership and converted to a dwelling.

One classroom, originally for the senior class, has become an

open plan living area with lounge, kitchen, dining room and log burner. This is attached to the old staff room, which is now the master bedroom with a walk-in robe and ensuite. Previously accommodating the junior class, the other classroom was converted to a spacious second lounge, with another log burner and two more bedrooms. What was once one of the school ablution blocks is now a large family bathroom and laundry, while the other block was converted into a bedroom and separate office, ideal for working from home. Ample decking was added, plus a double garage, carport and workshop. Solar panels are a more recent addition.

“I’ve worked as a property manager, so could see that this is expertly built. As well as being attracted to the quirky nature of living in a former school, we love the rural views and the sunshine. It was an opportunity to live the good life in a property that came at such a reasonable price,” says Duncan.

On a good day, within 40 minutes of leaving home Duncan can have fish in his chilly bin, on the boat at his favourite Pahi fishing spot, catching snapper in shallow water. Dargaville is 45 kilometres away, Mangawhai 49, Whangarei 59 kilometres and Auckland Airport 165. Closer to home, the property is eight kilometres north of Matakohe.

Having decided to sell, Duncan and Jacqui have put the 1.6-hectare property in the hands of Erin and Ron Grbin of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Dargaville. Erin says it offers an original take on rural living.

“With ample room for extended family and perfect spaces for entertaining, this unique and interesting property has so much to offer. While Duncan and Jacqui have it set up to suit themselves, a new owner will have plenty of scope to put their own mark on it,” she says.

On flat land, subdivided into four paddocks, Duncan and Jacqui run a handful of sheep on the property, which also has a vegetable garden and a small orchard, plus a saltwater swimming pool and tennis court dating from its past era as a school.

Having fitted comfortably into the vibrant, welcoming community over the past six years, Duncan says he and Jacqui plan to stay local, taking with them a cherished memory the property has provided for the whole family.

“During the Covid lockdown, our daughter and three teenage grandchildren lived with us. It was ideal, a perfect situation: they had one of the classrooms and we had the other, one wing for us, one for them. It showed how well this property works for intergenerational family life,” says Duncan.

The property is offered for sale at $760,000.

COUNTRY LIVING WITH ROOM TO GROW AND THRIVE

M“Buying a lifestyle property has always been our aim, and we’ve had an eye out for a suitable block for some time. We both grew up in the country. When we moved to our present home in Edgecumbe 10 years ago, it was the first time Joel ever had neighbours, which took a bit of getting used to. We both wanted more space, particularly for our boys to grow,” says Amber.

An in-house electrician at a local mill, Amber is currently on maternity leave caring for three-year-old Taika and one-year-old Bodhi, while Joel works in the Whakatāne engineering company co-owned by the couple. While they had been looking at different lifestyle properties for some time, and saw a few they would have liked, the timing or the opportunity never quite lined up.

Amanda Blommerde of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Whakatāne changed all that when she listed a four-bedroom 1950s home on a 0.4-hectare block six kilometres south of Edgecumbe and 22 kilometres south west of Whakatāne, in the spring.

“Having been in the same hands for many years, and shown its worth as an ideal place to raise children, its owners were ready to move on, and the property was ready to serve the same purpose for a new family.

“Country living with room to grow: in a highly sought-after area, this stunning home blends charm with functionality. It features three generous double bedrooms and a versatile single bedroom able to serve as a home office if required; a newly renovated kitchen; and a luxurious bathroom with a deep bath and heated floors. Outdoors from the dining area, a large, new covered deck provides a perfect space for entertaining, offering the ultimate indoor-outdoor flow; 20 different varieties of fruit tree make for an abundant orchard; while with 16 raised garden beds, an organic vegetable supply is on hand year-round.

“Well-loved and treasured, it is peaceful country retreat, ready for a new family to take over and create their own lasting memories,” says Amanda.

Amber, Joel, Taika and Bodhi were that family, as Amber explains.

“We love the property and the landscape it is in. The whole sustainability side, with the trees, the vege garden and the orchard. Having grown up in a home from the same era, Joel reckons it reminds him of his childhood. Meanwhile, the ample garage is a great ‘man cave,’ which he’s looking forward to making the most of with his car and motorbike hobbies.

“Our boys are the motivation to move back into the country, to re-create the childhood we had, and which we envision for them. As soon as we saw the property, we could see our boys growing up, running around on the large front lawns, spending all day outdoors in the fresh air rather than cooped up inside with technology,” she says.

HAWKE’S BAY

BLOOMING TEAM SPIRIT, IN CENTRAL HAWKE’S BAY

Ahidden gem, largely unknown to outsiders, Central Hawke’s Bay (CHB) has many features that make it an ideal lifestyle property destination. This year one of the district’s property specialists has brought that appeal into full bloom.

Megan Dallimore is the PGG Wrightson Real Estate Waipukurau branch manager. A long-term local, she says the district’s overriding attractions are its easy going pace of life, and genuinely caring community.

“We have plenty of space to breathe, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Whether it’s rivers, beaches, or mountain ranges, adventure is never far away. This remains one of the more

affordable regions, providing great value for buyers across all budgets,” she says.

CHB’s two main towns, Waipukurau and Waipawa, are seven kilometres apart. Waipukurau is 108 kilometres north of Palmerston North and 50 kilometres south of Hastings.

“Thanks to fertile soils, temperate climate, and abundant sunshine, CHB has a strong foundation in farming, horticulture, and cropping. It is also a thriving hub for the equestrian community, including extensive horse trekking trails.

“We go well beyond horses, though. Kairakau and Pourerere Beaches offer stunning, unspoiled coastlines perfect for fishing,

surfing, and relaxed holiday vibes. Trampers, hunters, and nature lovers will find a hidden paradise in the Ruahine Ranges, with breathtaking views and native birdlife. Ongaonga Historic Village showcases beautifully preserved 19th-century charm with a collection of historic buildings, including the original school house, jail, butcher and settler’s hut. And for fishing enthusiasts, CHB’s rivers hold incredible freshwater fishing spots, some of which are known only to locals,” she says.

Megan’s personal part in the community has brought joy to many this summer. Mid last year, looking out over her five hectare block on the Waipawa town belt, she saw more than just bare soil.

“It wasn’t the best for grass, so I thought ‘Why not plant something that makes people happy?’”

With help from PGG Wrightson’s agronomy team, and several others in the wider community, she planted a paddock of sunflowers, in a spot many locals pass while taking their daily exercise.

“It was amazing how quickly people started stopping me to say how much they loved seeing the sunflowers on their walks. This was about more than just growing flowers, it was bringing joy to the community.”

Along with her colleagues Janeane Strawbridge and Marlene Honings, Megan decided to share the sunflowers more widely, delivering blooms to local rest homes, giving every resident a flower for their room, as well as walking the streets of Waipawa and Waipukurau, handing them out to strangers, spreading happiness one sunflower at a time.

Many asked if the sunflowers were for sale: they are not.

“This was never about money. It was always about bringing people together and making them smile.”

That said, she is taking donations, with every dollar raised going to Starship Children’s Hospital, and Megan is planning to take the sunflower project to another level next summer.

While wider Hawke’s Bay is renowned for the conditions that enable the sunflowers to flourish, and that also support the vines producing the region’s world famous wines, Megan says CHB has a broader range of delights to tempt discerning palates.

“As well as boutique wineries, our district is home to cheesemakers, and other craft producers that fly under the radar.”

Newcomers drawn to the district’s charms are generally from wider Hawke’s Bay.

“By moving here, parents seeking to slow the pace and expose their children to a more rural lifestyle will find what they are looking for. There is so much to do, with the local river fishing, hiking, biking, the beaches, farmers’ markets, and community concerts. One particular favourite is the Waipawa Spring Festival, more often known as ‘Duck Day,’ when hundreds of toy ducks are sent down the Waipawa River. At the end of the market, it’s incredible to see so many people flock to the river to watch the racing ducks.”

JACKSFIELD, READY TO WELCOME NEW OWNERS

An appealing four-bedroom home, desirably located in parklike grounds on a four-hectare Springlands property four kilometres west of Blenheim stands as a legacy to a late local couple, Sue and Russell Rhodes. Beyond the property, their legacy also lives on in the lives of the many young people they introduced to and mentored in the love of horses.

Sue, who died in July last year, dedicated her life to training young people to ride. Russell, who pre-deceased Sue, supported her at every turn. Their property, now for sale by Greg Lyons of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Blenheim and his colleague Joe Blakiston was established around a lifetime’s commitment to equestrian sport, as son Rob Pears explains.

“Mum started with horses when she was younger, living in Picton and Takaka. Then, after she married and moved to Christchurch, she got into German Shepherds. She was one of the founding members of the South Island German Shepherd League. When she and Russell moved to Marlborough, she was able to get back into horses.”

That move from Christchurch to Marlborough was in 1978, and they bought the block that became their home in the mid 80s. Initially it was bare land.

“Russell was at the Christchurch Industries Fair when he spotted a large display shed, which apparently had no purpose once the fair was over. He put in an offer, dismantled the shed, and trucked it to Blenheim where they reassembled it like a Meccano set. That’s where they lived for the next few years, while they set about building their house, which was completed in 1989.

“Jack Broughan, the original owner of their land, was still farming on a neighbouring property. He took Sue and Russell under his wing, guiding them in developing the block and making it work as a farm,” says Rob.

His contribution is still acknowledged in the name the property bears: Jacksfield.

After the house was finished, they built the stables, enabling Sue to introduce many young people to the life she loved.

“She had a real passion for it, and was never happier than when she was out there with the kids. She was always off at pony club events with them, in Nelson, Marlborough, Christchurch or Golden Bay. Over the years they probably had more than 50 kids involved. Different kids were always out there in the paddocks or the stables, learning about horses. Mum judged at horse shows as well, and Russ was always there at her side,” says Rob, whose daughter Sophie, now in her mid 20s, inherited her grandmother’s love of horses.

“Sue bought Sophie her first horse before she was even born, and plonked her on horseback before she could walk. Under Sue’s guidance, Sophie went on to achieve plenty of success in the equestrian ring, as did several other young people that Sue and Russ brought through,” he says.

Their legacy in equestrian circles apart, the Rhodes’ property now stands ready to welcome new owners.

“Privately positioned down a long driveway, this large wellproportioned home offers the perfect blend of space and comfort within easy reach of Blenheim.

“Generous open-plan areas form the heart of the home, incorporating kitchen, dining, and living areas that flow seamlessly together, while a separate lounge provides flexibility for relaxation or entertaining. Ample storage throughout adds to the home’s practical appeal.

“Outside, as well as the large three-bay concrete floor shed, the property has 17 well-fenced paddocks, with stables and tack room in excellent condition, perfectly set up for horses. A viticulture option also presents, with an irrigation water consent in place,” says Greg.

TWO FAMILIES ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS

Afour hectare North Canterbury property, sold at auction in November, turned a dream into reality for both the purchasers and the vendors.

When Wendy and Simon Stokes bought the Swannanoa property 31 kilometres north of Christchurch in 2009, it was one of six lifestyle blocks subdivided off existing farmland.

“Back then it was a bare paddock with 30 old man pine trees and a couple of fences.

“First off, we constructed a four bay kitset barn, including a granny flat on the back, and moved into that with our two pre-teen children. With concrete floors and bare lightbulbs, to begin with it was basic,” says Wendy.

After the Canterbury earthquakes struck, and construction in the region became much more complicated, their longer-term building plans were delayed by a couple of years. By Christmas 2012 however, their four-bedroom character-style home was completed, since then planting trees, finishing landscaping, and grazing Dexter cattle and Wiltshire sheep has given them the good life, and an ideal environment to finish raising their children.

Although they still love the rural aspect, looking at what was now an empty nest, last year Wendy and Simon decided it was time to downsize, calling in Jo and John Priebee of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Rangiora to offer their property to the market.

Jo realised immediately that what the Stokes had created had almost unlimited X factor.

“This is a well located, exquisitely presented property. Meticulously developed by Wendy and Simon, it ticks so many boxes: contemporary, spacious, finished to the highest specifications, and with the separate standalone dwelling providing numerous additional options.

“We were confident it would attract plenty of interest,” says Jo. She was right: the market responded emphatically. After one open home they received an offer substantially above the appraisal value. On a hot market like that, Jo and John suggested Wendy and Simon bring the auction forward.

Meanwhile, another Simon, Christchurch-based builder Simon Forsey and his partner Abby Oliver were looking to shift to North Canterbury, though it was Abby’s mother Sandra Rutherford who first spotted the listing.

“Although we loved the look of it, it was well beyond anything else we were considering: way out of our price range. However, just for the sake of it we went to the open home. At that point we realised: ‘this is the one.’ Although she had only seen it online, Abby’s mum was excited too, and flew down from Auckland, where she lives, to come to the second open home,” says Simon Forsey.

From that point events moved swiftly. Sandra offered to help Simon and Abby financially, and to move into the property’s second two bedroom dwelling in the next few years. Encouraged by the financial assistance, and a promise to help out in the garden when she comes to stay, the couple decided to go for it. Sandra and Abby sent Simon to the auction.

“My brother and I went in our work clothes, so hi viz vests and steel toe cap boots. Everyone else was in suits. We looked right out of place. That worked. When the bidding started, we were the underdogs and nobody took us seriously.

“To study up I’d Googled ‘auction tips’ the night before. What I found out was if the other party shows weakness, you’ve won. If they start bidding in smaller amounts, so raising the price by $1000 rather than $5000, you know they are starting to flag. I kept consistent, that’s what happened, and the property was ours.

“It was a great day. As soon as I realised the vendor had the same name as me, that gave me the boost of confidence I needed. I knew then that we were going to win the auction,” he says.

Jo says once bidding started, the initial offer that persuaded them to bring the auction forward was soon left behind by Simon and another bidder, meaning that three cash ready buyers participated in the auction. Several conditional buyers were also present and motivated to purchase should it not have sold under the hammer.

With the auction price exceeding the property’s rateable value by almost 30 per cent, it was also a great day for Wendy and Simon Stokes, on top of which, they were able to pass on what they had built from scratch to a like-minded couple.

“It’s been a fantastic family home. We are thrilled to be able to hand it on to a young couple like Simon and Abby, who are planning to make a family home of it themselves, and look set to cherish the property as much as we have,” says Wendy.

A PEACEFUL OASIS LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Charles Halstead was a surgeon and general practitioner in Timaru in the mid twentieth century.

He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, delivered more than 3000 babies, and had a distinguished career

as a military doctor during World War II. He was also instrumental in saving South Canterbury charitable institution the Bidwell Trust Hospital, which ran into difficulties in the 1970s, though after Dr Halstead’s timely intervention kept it in business, remains in

operation today. He built his general practice living in a house overlooking Caroline Bay that also served as his consulting rooms.

In 2007 Jenette and Bruce Borrell became just the fifth owners of Dr Halstead’s house. They have loved living there.

“After Dr Halstead, the house belonged to an obstetrician, Dr Smedley, who also had a surgery here. Patients would come in through a separate entrance, and for a period it was used as a nursing home. From its days serving the medical fraternity and the community, the care and attention to detail the house obviously received is still evident. When Dr Smedley was here patients would give his wife seedlings and cuttings, the likes of rhododendrons and camellias, many of which are still growing in the garden,” says Jenette.

That garden remains a highlight of the property.

“We sit on the veranda, listening to the birdsong, and feel we are in our own mini park. It’s a peaceful oasis. We have opened it occasionally for local garden tours. Anyone who visits is surprised at such a haven, hidden from view behind the front fence,” she says.

In the 18 years the couple has lived there, Jenette and Bruce have also made the home their own, repositioning the kitchen, extending and renovating, as well as installing central heating.

“We walk everywhere. We can be on the beach in six minutes, or at the library, or the cinema. Central Timaru is easily accessible, with plenty of local cafes and restaurants right at hand,” says Jenette.

Now, with Bruce having retired from the optical equipment business he ran for 40 years, and Jenette stepping back from her career teaching dance, the couple are ready to downsize, so have called in Ricky McLeod of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Timaru to offer their treasured home to the market. Ricky describes the property as a perfect combination.

“This home is a beautiful marriage between heritage charisma and modern living, where classic charm meets contemporary sophistication, thoughtfully designed to harmoniously blend the old and the new. Creating a perfect balance of character and comfort, three spacious bedrooms and two beautiful bathrooms ensure the home provides ample space, whether for a family, or for those who enjoy entertaining.

“Surrounding the home, the botanic-like gardens create a serene sanctuary. Lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and thoughtfully curated landscaping providing a peaceful retreat, making every outdoor moment feel like an escape,” says Ricky.

Located in Sefton Street, Seaview, just north of the Timaru CBD, the property has a listing price of $839,000.

STUNNING CATLINS RETREAT SEEKS NEW OWNERS

Qualifying as the world’s southernmost resort, RiverRidge Retreat is for sale.

Located in The Catlins and nestled within some of New Zealand’s most beautiful scenery, RiverRidge Retreat caters for weddings, conferences, celebrations, corporate events and holidays.

Adele Dawkins has owned and managed RiverRidge Retreat since 2011. She says running the business has been a joy.

“I’ve met so many awesome people from all over the world. We’ve had weddings from Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Wales, so many different places. Usually they stay for up to three days, with family and friends arriving on the first day, the wedding on the second day, and another day of further celebrations.

“Every single wedding is completely different. It’s such a privilege to be part of each one. I love hearing the speeches. Helping them organise such a special event, you get to know them well. It’s extremely rewarding, especially to see them years down

the track and find out what they are doing with their lives,” says Adele, who a few years ago hosted the wedding of one of her best friends, when she doubled as both the organiser and the maid of honour, which made it even more memorable.

Adele’s daughters, Khloe and Lily, also love the weddings, though managing the business alongside family life is a challenge that Adele has reluctantly decided is stretching her too thin, so she’s brought in Brent Irving of PGG Wrightson Real Estate, Dunedin to offer RiverRidge Retreat to the market.

“With forward bookings for both weddings and other functions stretching into next year and beyond, RiverRidge Retreat presents new owners with numerous opportunities to further grow and diversify the business.

“Specialising in weddings, the business offers several options, from a ceremony site to the complete package of a fully catered wedding with accommodation provided, choice of cuisine and wedding coordinator.

“As well as the weddings and functions that serve as its mainstay at present, introducing activities such as horse trekking, fishing and hunting would make for worthwhile additional potential income streams,” he says.

Before Adele took it on, the resort was known as Catlins Woodstock Lodge and Function Centre and was best known as a venue for music festivals. In the past 14 years, RiverRidge Retreat has hosted more than 600 weddings, plus numerous corporate events and conferences for the likes of NZ Police, Alliance Group, Department of Conservation, PowerNet and PGG Wrightson. It also caters for retreats and family holidays.

At the resort’s focal point, a large rustic-style purpose-built function centre seats up to 130 and includes a full commercial kitchen, chiller, bar, and dance floor. Accommodation sleeping up to 74 comprises a mix of eco styled self-contained cabins, shared units, private rooms and glamping tents.

Off the beaten track and enjoying its own South Otago microclimate, The Catlins has a wide range of outstanding natural features, including rugged coastline, native bush, wildlife and waterfalls, all highly treasured by locals, and much admired by visitors.

RiverRidge Retreat is located at Tawanui, Owaka, 44 kilometres south of Balclutha, 126 kilometres east of Invercargill, and 124 kilometres south of Dunedin.

Offers above $1.2 million will be considered, and Adele is open to remaining with the business in some capacity, depending on the circumstances and requirements of a new owner.
