Sulla scia dei miei Simulacri Cosmici, Pyramide apre una tematica rinnovata, ispirata dalla luce crepuscolare degli attuali tempi, che richiamano tragici trascorsi storici. Rappresenta il vissuto degli anonimi personaggi che astrattamente raffigura, ne contiene il carico di umanità, il doloroso travaglio di storia umana, sociale, spirituale che reclama l’alba di un tempo nuovo. A ciascuno di noi il compito di edificarlo, li dove siamo, intorno a noi fin dove possiamo arrivare, senza deleghe, senza pretendere da altri. Ciascuno di noi responsabile artefice, per quanto gli compete. Questa è la chiave. E l’alba verrà!

In the wake of my Cosmic Simulacra, Pyramide opens a return to a theme, inspired by the twilight of the current times, recalling the tragic historical past. It represents the experience of the anonymous characters that it abstractly portrays; containing the burden of humanity, the anguish of human social and spiritual history, reclaiming the dawn of a new era. Each of us is responsible for its edification, from where we are, around ourselves and to where we may arrive, without delegating, without demanding from others. Each of us is ‘architect’, responsible for what we can. This is the key. And the dawn will come!

Pyramide si innalza dal terreno e si proietta verso il cielo. Com’è per l’uomo – nel suo incerto incedere quotidiano – si carica di impedimenti ma anche di positive potenzialità. In essa si materializza il percorso di una umanità che persegua un cambiamento, libera da egoismi e sopraffazioni, discriminazioni e divisioni, contrasti e incomprensioni. Il cambiamento che privilegi la ricerca di un dialogo, che sia aperto alla reciproca comprensione, nel rispetto e nell’accoglienza delle differenze, nella costante tensione al perseguimento del bene comune e della tutela dell’ambiente, in una rinnovata e vitale armonia, svincolata dall’incombente cultura della morte.

Pyramide rises from the ground and projects upward into the sky. Just as it is for humanity, with its uncertain daily movement forward, it carries the weight of impediments but is also charged with positive potential. In it materializes the path of humanity which pursues change, free from selfishness and abuse, discrimination and division, conflict and misunderstanding. The change that fosters the search for dialogue, which is open to mutual understanding, respecting and accepting differences - in constant tension with the pursuit of the common good and the protection of the environment, in a renewed and vital harmony, released from the impending culture of death.

Sulle superfici di Pyramide sono impresse forme diverse di barriere, simbolici richiami a quanto possa ostacolare e si frapponga ad impedire aneliti di libertĂ .

On the surfaces of Pyramide, different forms of barriers are imprinted - symbolic reminders of what can hinder and intervene, preventing the yearning for freedom.

Dall’alto della superficie liscia, che sembrerebbe precludere ogni possibilità di ascesa, cala un taglio purificatore che porge un appiglio e compone in unità ogni diversità accolta.

From the smooth surface at the top, which seems to preclude any possibility of ascent, a purifying incision descends, which offers a foothold, and unifies the differences contained.

Sul lato opposto, cicatrici dell’ anima, le impronte lasciate dalle barriere cadute si fanno esse stesse appiglio per un ‘moto’ ascensionale: una risalita dentro e attraverso le piaghe che, sublimate, divengono sostegno per il rinnovamento, per la rinascita, del singolo e della collettivitĂ .

On the opposite side, the scars of the soul, the imprints left by the fallen barriers, are themselves an aide to ascent: making possible a kind of path in and through the wounds, sublimated, becoming support for the renewal, for the rebirth of the individual and the community.

Queste barriere si presentano impresse nella materia, a richiamo della limitatezza insita nella ‘corporeità’ umana quale essenza fisica, psicologica e spirituale: formano al tempo stesso il supporto che si può scalare, così offrendo la possibilità del superamento e della trasformazione in un cammino che consenta il perseguimento di quella libertà che possa liberare dal turbinio delle passioni deteriori dell’uomo, orientandolo a sentimenti e ideali puri, verso una trascendenza che tutto sublima, che tutto salva.

These barriers are impressed in the concrete matter, and recall the limitations inherent in the ‘physicality’ of being human - in a physical, psychological and spiritual form.

They are, at the same time, the medium that allows one to climb upwards - thus offering the possibility of exceeding and transforming into a journey that permits the pursuit of the freedom that can liberate - from the turmoil of man’s lower passions, orienting him towards feelings and pure ideals, and towards a transcendence that everything else sublimates to, that in turn, saves everything.

Alessandra Chillè è nata a Firenze, Italia. Attualmente risiede in un centro storico, sulle colline alle spalle della Versilia, dove ha fatto di un antico frantoio il suo habitat. Già insegnante di discipline pittoriche nei Licei Artistici, dal 1971 espone in mostre personali e collettive in Italia e all’estero. Nel 1977 è invitata al Salon d’Automne di Parigi e, dal 1985, alle edizioni della Mostra Internazionale di scultura all’aperto e della ppiano, in Toscana, con l’équipe internazionale del Centro Ave Arte, dove convergono artisti di varie nazionalità per un’esperienza di unità nell’arte, nel dialogo interculturale e interreligioso.

Ha ottenuto numerosi, importanti riconoscimenti.

Sue opere figurano in Musei e in Collezioni Pubbliche e Private (fra questi il Museo dei Bozzetti “Pierluigi Gherardi” in Pietrasanta, Italia, dove l’artista è presente con una sua opera in terracotta dal titolo Fontana)

Alessandra Chillè was born in Florence, Italy. She currently resides in an ancient oil mill in an old town in the Versilian hills on the Tuscan coast. She has been a teacher of painting in art schools and since 1971 she has also exhibited her work in individual and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 1977 she was invited to the Salon d’Automne in Paris and since 1985 to editions of the International Exhibition of open air sculpture and of small sculpture in Castellanza (Varese, Italy), the ‘Fondazione Pagani’ Museum of Modern Art. She has collaborated with the Centro Ave Arte international team, in Loppiano (Florence), where artists of different nationalities converge in order to experience a life of unity in art through an intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

She has received several important awards and her works are included in museums and public and private collections (including the Museo dei Bozzetti “Pier Luigi Gherardi” in Pietrasanta, Italy, where the artist is represented with one of her terracotta works entitled Fountain).
