6. Monitor against agreed upon timelines, deadlines and milestones. This has you focus on results rather than the way those results are achieved. 7. Focus on fostering motivation. Let the person know what additional opportunities might become available if the complete the task successfully. Will there be financial rewards? Public recognition? 8. Expect the person to propose solutions to any problems that they to you.
