Peoria Events & community engagement Early Childhood Program Hosts Fire Safety Night
October 8th, 2021 Peoria Tribe’s Early Childhood Program joined Quapaw Nation Fire Department to share the knowledge of fire safety with our youth and their families at Fire Safety Night. The Quapaw Nation Fire Department attended to demonstrate proper placement of smoke detectors, how to test your smoke detectors and when, how to use fire extinguishers, what to do if you’re caught in a fire! The children were also invited to see the firetruck and have fun while learning the importance of fire safety. At the end of the night, each family was sent home with a fire extinguisher and a smoke detector! What a wonderful use of resources to protect our children with proper knowledge! #PeoriaProud
