SS21 Collection Delving into our artisan textile archives and taking inspiration from the ancient crafts of South Asia, we have developed our SS21 collection. Featuring a soft colour palette and themes which draw upon the nature and artisanal techniques of the continent. The collection is interlaced with Ikat weaves, floral motifs and ticking stripes, all of which denote our central theme. Soft natural shades, earthy browns, indigo blue hues and jade green feature transitioning into vibrant pink mauve and sunny yellow in high summer. Prints are inspired by traditional Indian block prints and weaves- key motifs are paisley print, ikat, abstract leaves and delicate florals. The silhouette for SS21 is vintage-inspired, drawing upon 70s utility and Indian bohemian dresses and tops. Tailoring for this season continues to have a relaxed feel, with a key look of pairing our double breasted jacket with wide leg trousers or long-line shorts. Dresses and tops are effortless and fluid with ruffle detailing, gathering and full sleeves drawing upon the bohemian inspiration. New lightweight chambray denim underpins the collection and ribbed knits add texture when paired with these pieces. Natural buttons adorn our garments made from eco-friendly corozo and coconut shells. We continue to create a brand look with vintage-inspired tailoring and feminine print separates contributing to the longevity of our styles that the customer can add to their capsule wardrobe each season.
About Organic Cotton Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTs) certified organic cotton is part of our DNA and is the only way to guarantee that cotton has not just been grown organically, but that it’s processed organically too. Organic cotton farming does not use toxic chemicals, pesticides, fertilisers or genetically modified seeds. The cotton farms we use in India are based in rain-fed areas and the farmers use natural composting methods to create healthy soils. In 2019, 98% of our cotton buy was organic. You can feel the difference in our range, not just kind on the environment, but kind on your skin. Free of toxic chemicals, the hypoallergenic quality of organic cotton makes it the safest, most comfortable option for sensitive skin.

About Linen Linen fabric is made from the fibre of the eco-friendly flax plant which only needs rainwater to grow = zero irrigation and chemical intervention. Flax has a naturally positive effect on soil, and improves the quality of the next crop by 20 to 30%. European flax is waste-free and every part of the plant is useful. The long fibres are used for fabric to craft collections like ours, seeds and oils are used for livestock feed and the woody core is used for gardening, animal bedding and compost.

About Organic Denim It took us a long time and a lot of research but we are proud to be working with SARP JEANS on our debut GOTS certified dyed and washed denim jeans. SARP producers have been audited by FWF (Fair Wear Foundation) and have guaranteed us their laundry partners are GOTS certified. They are currently undertaking research and pioneering innovative development to find ways to improve the distressing and washing techniques of denim. Employees are trained about the environment, and efforts are made to protect both water and energy. In addition to this, they run a tree planting project in the arid regions of Turkey, and so far have planted 1000 trees.

Composed of small floral details, this unique paisley was designed in the mid-19th century when the motif became a popular pattern for European fabrics. This enduring print has been refreshed in eye-catching colours. Floral PrintAnaya is inspired by a sumptuous embroidered textile housed in the V&A’s Asia collection. Made for export in Gujarat, a state on India’s north western coast, the original pattern depicts fantastic flora, merging elements of both European and Indian aesthetics. The 18th century print has been revisited in elegant neutral tones for a contemporary and sophisticated look.
