FEEL THE PASSION

Es difícil que una palabra pueda definir el sentimiento que envuelve una carrera como la MiM o la CSP. Pero sin duda, la que más se aproxima es “pasión”.

La pasión es un sentimiento muy fuerte hacia una persona, un tema, idea u objeto. Es una reacción intensa que engloba entusiasmo o deseo por algo. Es el interés o admiración por una propuesta, causa u actividad.

Si trasladamos este concepto a ASICS Penyagolosa Trails podríamos decir que la pasión es cómo viven los corredores y corredoras la preparación y la misma carrera. Es el hecho de apuntarse al sorteo de dorsales nada más se abre el plazo o programar con los amigos qué día se apuntan para tener mejor suerte. Pasión es tachar en el calendario el día de la prueba y dejar todo por ella. Es llegar a un pueblo y encontrarte a centenares de personas que no te conocen y que te están animando para darte la energía que necesitas. Es el sentimiento de llegar a la meta, alcanzar tu objetivo y que te estén esperando los tuyos en la meta. Pasión también es la historia que tiene nuestro recorrido, con caminos que han recreado la devoción y que año tras año sirven de peregrinación desde los distintos pueblos hacia Sant Joan de Penyagolosa.

It is difficult to come up with a single word to define the feeling that surrounds a race such as the MiM or CSP. Nonetheless, without the slightest doubt, the closest one would be ‘passion’.

Passion can be defined as a very strong feeling towards a person, a subject, an idea or an object. It is an intense reaction that includes enthusiasm or desire for something. It is the interest or admiration for a proposal, cause or activity.

If we were to translate this concept to ASICS Penyagolosa Trails, we could say that passion is how runners live the training process and the race itself. Passion means signing up for the bib drawing as soon as the period starts. Passion means scheming with your friends to decide the day you sign up in order to have better chances. Passion means crossing off the date of the race on the calendar and putting everything aside. Passion means arriving in a town and finding hundreds of people who do not know you and, regardless, are encouraging you in order to inject into you the enthusiasm and energy you need. Passion is the feeling of reaching the finish line, reaching your goal and seeing that your loved ones are waiting for you at the finish line. Passion is also the history of our race, with paths that reenact devotion and that, year after year, witness pilgrimages from several towns to Sant Joan de Penyagolosa.

What you feel at ASICS Penyagolosa Trails is something that may go beyond all reason, but it is our main reason and our passion. Feel it.
