BIENVENIDA WELCOME

Ya estamos en los momentos previos a nuestra gran cita con Penyagolosa, el Gigante de Piedra. Después de meses de preparativos, las últimas semanas son las más intensas, pero siempre merecen la pena, porque ya se empieza a sentir la magia de la aventura que supone ASICS Penyagolosa Trails. Sin duda, seguro que estos últimos días de preparativos y de nervios se verán recompensados con todo lo que viviremos el 22 de abril en la 24ª edición de la MiM y la 11ª de la CSP. Será un fin de semana cargado de emociones y que disfrutaremos con la pasión con la que todos afrontamos un reto como éste. La experiencia de cada participante, desde el primero al último en cruzar la línea de meta, para enfrentarse a su reto personal, apurando al máximo sus fuerzas físicas y mentales, para llegar a Sant Joan de Penyagolosa a través de paisajes y caminos cargados de historia.

Porque la pasión es lo que nos mueve. Pasión por apuntarnos al sorteo para conseguir un dorsal, por quedar con los amigos y seres queridos esperando el resultado del mismo, por preparar las carreras, por disfrutarlas junto a los nuestros, por animar a los corredores en su recorrido… y la pasión de 800 voluntarios provenientes de 16 clubes deportivos de toda la provincia que trabajarán para dar soporte a todos los participantes. La pasión muchas veces puede escapar a la razón, pero es nuestra razón. La de todos los que sentimos las carreras de montaña y ASICS Penyagolosa Trails.

Afrontamos una nueva edición con la máxima autoexigencia organizativa, con el reto de hacer siempre una edición mejor que la anterior. Y con el imprescindible objetivo de que el impacto del evento sea prácticamente nulo en el entorno por el que transcurre. Porqué deporte y naturaleza han de ir de la mano, y se ha de buscar una colaboración entre todas las entidades para trabajar juntas en beneficio de la conservación de nuestro patrimonio natural y cultural. ASICS Penyagolosa Trails es la suma de muchas personas que trabajan para que esto sea posible. Instituciones, patrocinadores, clubes deportivos, voluntarios, equipos de seguridad, médicos, proveedores, colaboradores… y una larga lista de personas a las que hay que agradecer su esfuerzo e implicación. Desde aquí, muchas gracias a todas y todos quienes lo hacéis posible.

Bienvenidos a una nueva edición de la MiM y de la CSP. Llega el momento de disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece y que envuelve a un evento como éste. Nos esperan muchas emociones en las próximas horas. Os esperaremos en Sant Joan, ese emblemático lugar que hace inolvidable vuestra llegada a meta.

We are already living the moments prior to our big date with Penyagolosa, The Stone Giant. After months of preparations, the last few weeks are the most intense ones, but they are always worth it, as we begin to feel the magic of the adventure that ASICS Penyagolosa Trails entails. Undoubtedly, these last days of preparations and nervousness will surely be rewarded with everything we will experience on April 22 in the 24th edition of the MiM and the 11th of the CSP. It will be a weekend with plenty of emotions that we will enjoy with the passion with which we all face such a challenge. The challenge that the experience of every single runner entails. From the first to the last to cross the finish line, they push their physical and mental strengths to the limit to reach Sant Joan de Penyagolosa after running through landscapes and paths loaded with history.

Because this passion is what drives us. Passion is signing up for the drawing to win a bib number, gathering with friends and your loved ones to wait for the result, preparing for the races, enjoying them with your family, encouraging the runners on their way, etc. Passion is 800 volunteers from 16 different sports clubs coming from all around the province and working to support all runners. Passion can often go beyond all reason, but it is our reason. The reason of all of us who feel mountain races and ASICS Penyagolosa Trails.

We face a new edition with the highest self-demand in terms of organization, with the challenge of always trying to outdo the previous edition and with the main aim of ensuring that the event’s impact is practically inexistent on the environment in which it takes place. As sport and nature must go hand in hand, collaboration must be sought among all entities to work together to protect our natural and cultural heritage. ASICS Penyagolosa Trails is the result of many people who work to make this possible. Institutions, sponsors, sports clubs, volunteers, security staff, doctors, suppliers or collaborators, to name just a few among a long list of people who must be thanked for their effort and involvement. So, we would like to take profit from this opportunity to thank every single person who makes this possible.

Welcome to a new edition of MiM and CSP. The time has come to enjoy everything it has to offer. Everything that surrounds an event like this one. Many feelings await us in the next few hours. We will be waiting for you in Sant Joan, that emblematic place that makes your arrival at the finish line unforgettable.
