Play It Forward: Building a Playground for the Future

Building a Playground for the Future

Why a New Playground?

When we asked our Junior School students what mattered most to them, their answer was clear: open spaces to play, explore and let their imaginations run free

They spoke with excitement about forts and swings, climbing and spinning structures, monkey bars, slides and bridges –a playground filled with adventure and possibility

Now, with your support, we can make their vision a reality.

Together, we can create a playground that inspires joy, nurtures creativity, and becomes a place where every child feels the freedom to play, exercise and grow.

Our Vision and Principles

Our aim is to build an innovative, inclusive and inspiring new Junior School Playground – a space that reflects our commitment to the wellbeing and development of every child .

At Pembroke, we believe a playground is more than just a place to play, it’s a space where children grow, learn and connect . These are the principles that guide our vision:

Inclusive Design:

Ensuring every child can join in the fun

Community Hub:

A gathering place where friendships begin and grow, and where families come together

Legacy:

Creating a lasting space

Pembroke families can be proud of and that future generations will treasure

Play It Forward: Building a Playground for the Future

Health and Wellbeing:

Encouraging active, joyful play – an adventure space for exercise, exploration and imagination

Learning Through Play:

Fostering social, emotional and physical development

How You Can Help

Every contribution, large or small, will make a difference.

We’ve created several opportunities for our community:

‘Buy

a Brick’ – Leave Your Mark on Our Playground

For a gift of $250, you can ‘Buy a Brick’ that will be engraved with your family name and set into a beautifully paved area within the new Junior School Playground.

This is more than just a brick – it’s a symbol of your family’s connection to the School, a marker of your generosity and a legacy that children and families will see for years to come.

With only 500 bricks available, this is a limited and rare opportunity. By securing your brick today, you’ll be helping lay the foundation for a playground that future generations of children will love, enjoy and remember.

Proceeds from ‘Buy a Brick’ sales will support the development of the new Junior School Playground.

To ‘Buy a Brick’ and let us know how you’d like your family name or details displayed on the engraving, scan the QR code or visit: https://events.humanitix.com/buy-a-brick

Sponsor Play Equipment

Our new Playground will be packed with state-of-the-art, inclusive play equipment for students to enjoy, today and into the future.

You are invited to be part of this exciting project by sponsoring an item in the Playground. Your support will help create a vibrant and engaging play space for our youngest students, while ensuring your family’s contribution is remembered well into the future.

For donations of $2,500 or more, you will receive exclusive recognition on a dedicated plaque on one of the following:

• Double Bay Swing – an inclusive swing with two seats allowing children to swing together, promoting social interaction and physical development

• In Ground Trampoline – a wheelchair-accessible bounce mat that can be enjoyed by all children

• Rotanet – a thrilling and dynamic piece of equipment for climbing and spinning on

• Rock Scramble – a child-friendly low height climbing structure that mimics a natural rock environment

• Monkey Bars – one of the most popular items in a playground and a powerful tool for building strength and coordination

• Rope Bridge – a playground crossing structure which helps to combine physical challenge with imaginative adventure

• Slide – no playground is complete without one – simply a joyful experience providing exhilarating energetic fun!
