ASSEMBLE IN GOD’S NAME Prelude Eternal Father, Strong to Save  John B. Dykes Congregational Introit† Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation Prayer of Adoration†

GIVE PRAISE TO GOD Hymn of Praise† My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less  #368

LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

WHEN BREAKUPS BECOME BREAKTHROUGHS

Offering Our Gifts We Walk by Faith  Jan Sanborn

Postlude

Acts 15:36–41  (Pew Bible 1720) Chuck Roberts

GO IN GOD’S NAME Hymn of Response† Christ Be My Leader Invitation and Benediction†

Lighting of the Candles Placing of the Bible Prayer of Confession God of grace, we confess to you that we can be people of strong will. We allow molehills to become mountains, and sometimes we allow our pride to get in the way of relationships. When friendships fracture, we insulate ourselves and point fingers. Forgive our myopic ways, and help us to forgive others and ourselves, as we continue our confession in silence…

Refrain:

Assurance of God’s Forgiveness

We trust in God and in His Son. What God has promised will be done. And as each journey is begun, His Holy Spirit makes us one.  Refrain

Congregational Response† Eternal Father, Strong to Save  #521 Life of the Congregation

We walk by faith and not by sight. We trust in God and not in might. For in our darkness He is light. We walk by faith and not by sight. Sometimes trials come our way. We don’t know what to do or say. But we know God will make a way If we will trust, trust and obey.  Refrain

We may not fully understand, But we are guided by His hand. And as we follow faith’s command, God leads us to the promised land.  Refrain Doxology† Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow  #544

The beautiful flowers in the Sanctuary this morning are given to the glory of God and in loving memory of: Drew Pogue by his parents, Tom & Susan Pogue, and his sister, Rebecca

Those who are able, please stand.

If your young child needs attention during worship, live broadcasts of the service are available in the Williams Center and the Nursing Mothers and Infants Room off of the Williams Center.

We encourage families to worship together. Far from a distraction, the presence of children in our corporate gatherings adds authenticity to our worship. In addition, families may register their children ages 8 weeks – 4th grade for our Children’s Programming where they will interact and fellowship with children their own ages. Loving volunteers provide a fun, safe learning environment for your children to grow and flourish as they learn the greatest story ever written — the saving story of Jesus — along with the wondrous stories of Scripture. Children’s Programming is available during each service: The Nest: Ages 8 weeks – Age 2 The River: Ages 3 – PreK Tool Time: Kindergarten The Fort: First – Fourth Grade A private nursing room is located off of the William’s Center with live streaming of the service. Children with disabilities are welcomed and embraced in all of our settings. Trained volunteers are available to work one-on-one with children through our SAIL ministry. If a classroom setting is not favorable or a child needs a timely break, our Harbor Room is specially prepared to be used for any child’s unique needs. Individual care plans can be compiled by contacting the Children and Family Ministry Department. For any questions, please contact: Deanne Townsend, Minister to Children and Families dtownsend@peachtreepres.org

Women, join us for a six-week journey together based on Rebekah Lyons’ study, You Are Free: Be Who You Already Are. The study, offered on Tuesdays at 10:00 am or Wednesdays at 7:00 pm beginning June 13, will provide real-life ways to grow our faith, connect in community, and dive into Scripture through teaching, video sessions, small group discussion, and prayer.
