Compassionate and generous God, we confess today that we hold too tightly to the trappings of this life. We acknowledge that You have blessed us to be a blessing to others; yet we cling to those blessings, showing reluctance to return Your share. We unknowingly live lives of scarcity, not abundance. Forgive us, we ask, for these and the other sins we now confess in silence…
