Baptisms 8:45 Elizabeth Adele (Adele) Bandy Daughter | Born: 4/18/17 Parents: McKinley & Judson Bandy Grandparents: Rosemary & Murray Bandy; Tracy & Jim Kane; Fontaine Kohler MATTHEW 5:14–16

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Robert Edens (Edens) Davis Son | Born: 6/14/17 Parents: Kirsten & Edens Davis Grandparents: Brenda & Dwight Davis; Kathy & Bob Lundsten PSALM 1:1–3

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Brannan Thomas Rumsey Son | Born: 6/8/16 Parents: Sara Kate & Matthew Rumsey Grandparents: Sue Ellen & Dan Brannan; Chris & Bob Rumsey 1 TIMOTHY 6:11–12

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.

Baptisms 10:00 Anna Locke Arnold Daughter | Born: 3/7/17 Parents: Heather & Patrick Arnold Grandparents: Chris & Scott Arnold; Jennie & Steve Braasch 1 SAMUEL 1:27–28

“I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.

Simms Haverty Hobart Daughter | Born: 3/16/17 Parents: Anne & John Hobart Grandparents: Anne & Billy Carr; Clare & Jay Hobart; Ashley & Ralph Womble DEUTERONOMY 6:5–6

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.

Nicholas Shane Ledyard Son | Born: 4/19/17 Parents: Kayla & Jamie Ledyard Grandparents: Jayne & Gil Kloster; Jan Ledyard; Kristen & John Ledyard MATTHEW 5:14–16

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

ACOLYTES

An acolyte plays an important role in our traditional worship, bringing the light of Christ into the service and leading us out into the world to be the light of Christ. Today’s acolytes:

8:45 Rees Thompson Grace Graham

10:00 Luke Vorpahl

The Sanctuary will soon be decorated with beautiful Christmas greenery and poinsettias! If you would like to take part by honoring or remembering your loved ones, you may purchase poinsettias online with a credit card. Or, if you would prefer to pay by cash or check, poinsettia order form envelopes are located in each pew. Simply complete the form on the envelope, include your payment, and place it in the offering plate. Completed forms with payment can also be placed in boxes located in the Williams Center and Family Commons throughout the week.

ADVENT WREATH Advent candles help us keep watch for the coming of Jesus. Today, we relight the candle of hope and light the candle of peace, remembering that Jesus is our hope and peace.

Poinsettias cost $10 for each person you wish to remember (Mr. & Mrs. count as two people). Forms and checks must be received no later than December 10.
