At a lavish Parisian party, celebrated courtesan Violetta meets Alfredo and falls deeply in love, but though she leaves her life of luxury behind to follow her heart, their happiness is soon shattered by the harsh realities that confront them. La traviata features some of opera’s most famous melodies, and is a star vehicle for its leading soprano role sung by Ermonela Jaho. In director Richard Eyre’s world of seductive grandeur, the tender and devastating beauty at the centre of Verdi’s opera shines bright.

The acclaimed pianist and composer makes his first visit to Ireland for an evening filled with enchanting melodies and heartfelt compositions.
Born in 1985, Grinko began playing music seriously at 16, joining indie noise bands. A pivotal moment occurred when he discovered the piano, teaching himself to play. His composition Valse went viral on Facebook in 2010, propelling him into the contemporary classical music scene. Grinko has since released four albums and six EPs, with his work often incorporating cinematic elements and a mix of humour, sadness, and longing. His music has gained widespread popularity, with over 450 million streams on Spotify and 240 million views on YouTube.
In 2022, after opposing the invasion of Ukraine, Evgeny left his native Russia and eventually settled in Berlin. Despite these challenges, he continues to create music at a breakneck pace. Recalling the emotional potency of Max Richter’s piano-based reveries as well as the filmic drama of Philip Glass’ score work, new album Winter Moonlight is the latest achievement in what’s already been an incredible career for Grinko.

Ciseach An Embodied Manifesto
Co-presented by Dublin Dance Festival
Thu 7 May, 8pm | €25/23 (+ booking fee)
Approx. Duration: 60mins (no interval)
We are in shambles.
Ciseach is a pulsating contemporary incantation weaving together a tapestry of dance, rhythm, live music and voice that seeks to rekindle our broken relationship with the land.
Ciseach looks to the body, to the collective, in search of a new path as the ground beneath us yields. This stirring new work by Catherine Young Dance is an embodied manifesto – urging us to re-member, to re-connect with our past, with nature and with each other. Collecting fragments of native wisdoms, myths and kinships, Ciseach pieces together possible futures to build the wattled causeway, the ciseach to guide us to solid ground.
Like Floating on a Dead Sea and State of Exception, Ciseach takes on the challenging stories of our time to deliver a thought-provoking experience that echoes long after the curtain draws.
“The dance is impressive and well choreographed... The live music really lifts the production to another level... A beautiful combination of sound and movement” No More Workhorse

The new show from Sunday Times bestselling author and comedian Cally Beaton (QI, Live at the Apollo) - a quick-witted, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife.
Combining Cally’s comedic and storytelling prowess with extracts from her provocative, stereotype-busting book of the same name, the show has at its heart her own story of radical reinvention – taking her from meetings in boardrooms to treading the boards.
Includes a Q&A and meet-and-greet with Cally (Jeff the wonder-dog may even be there too).

Carefully pushing the boundaries of what modern Irish folk can look and sound like, Ronan Kealy, alias Junior Brother, is an idiosyncratic, challenging, and richly lyrical singer-songwriter from Co. Kerry. He returns to Pavilion Theatre for an intimate performance celebrating his visionary third album The End. Blending raw traditional textures with spectral, otherworldly elements, the album channels the uncanny folklore of Ireland’s Fairy Forts to mirror the disorientation of contemporary life. Driven by acclaimed singles including Take Guilt, Small Violence, and Old Bell, The End marks a defining, fearless step in Junior Brother’s artistry.
Expect a mesmerising live experience where instinct, folklore, and modern chaos collide; a journey through darkness, illumination, and the search for a way home.
