e are delighted to announce that the Nursing Home has achieved an overall ‘Good’ rating following its latest inspection. This is an improvement over the ‘Requires Improvement’ rating at its last inspection. All our homes have now achieved a ‘Good’ rating. The care home was rated ‘Good’ at its last inspection and Normanby House was rated ‘Good’ under the previous ownership. Managing Director Mike Padgham said: “This result is a reflection on all the management and staff at the nursing home and a tribute to their hard work and commitment in turning the home round in this way. “I say a huge thank you to them and to everyone within Saint Cecilia’s who has contributed to this successful outcome. “We are absolutely thrilled at this inspection as ever since we

Getting the lift working properly again at the nursing home is currently our number one priority. Not long after the new lift was installed it developed a fault and we are currently waiting for it to be repaired. The company that carried out the work tells us that they are intending to return soon to carry out the work. We are putting every pressure we can on them to complete the work and
trying to get this situation resolved as quickly as possible. In the meantime, all we can do is apologise. We appreciate that the loss of the lift causes major disruption and inconvenience to our residents and know that it is a concern to them and to their relatives. We are doing everything that we can to get the lift back in operation as swiftly as we can.
