Nice to see you again! Outdoor visits help ease pain of lockdown We are very pleased that many of you are enjoying the outdoor visits and hope to introduce indoor visiting as soon as we can. The Government may well issue advice on this or we will look at how we can introduce it ourselves when it is safe to do so. Following the Government announcement we are introducing the new regular testing for staff every week and residents every month. There have been no further coronavirus cases in recent weeks and we are keen to keep it that way. So our homes will stay in lockdown for the time being to protect
our residents and staff. In the meantime, I thank you all for your continued understanding and co-operation during these unprecedented times. Stay safe. Mike Padgham Managing Director.
Our May ‘Wow Factor’ winners! Here are the staff who impressed most in May and got ‘Wow Factor’ awards.
Nursing Home Daniela Botelho Dani provided amazing person centered care to a resident on end of life care. Dani came in on her day off to ensure the family received an update and to allow contact remotely so they could say their goodbyes. Dani is a fantastic, amazing and caring nurse
Care Home Karen Howden Colleague's praised Karen's happy attitude that lifts everyone on shift. She is always willing to help, so hard working and makes sure we are all working in a clean environment. Karen is amazing when interacting with residents.
Normanby House Louise Woolgrove Louise goes above and beyond: she shops for residents in her own time to make sure they have what they need: puts a lot of effort into organising all of the fairs and outings and is always looking for donations for fairs. She is a great fundraiser for the home too.
Alba Rose Kelly Brown Kelly's colleagues nominated her to thank her for going above and beyond her job role to support them. Kelly uses her own time to support other staff with their online training. SEE Page 2 for April’s winners!
