MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello Friends,

If you've read the e-Blasts or your monthly Breeze magazine, you know that the election of your Board members will be here in May. Hopefully many of you attended the Candidate Forum on March 11, 2023 in the Vista Room where you had the opportunity to see and hear the five (5) candidates who are running for election to the Board of Directors.

A great deal of ink and many words have been written to let you know about the election in May 2023. I most sincerely hope that you have made note of the event(s) and I want to reinforce the importance of your involvement.

Without reservation, the most important decision (next to choosing Sun City Aliante for your residence) is voting for your Board of Directors. Simply put, the Board's decisions have great importance on the quality of your life. Every decision the Board makes has an impact on how desirable your life will be. It is of major importance that who you vote for will represent your values on how you want our community to look and act.

Realizing the scope of your decision should cause you to vote for a person who has either demonstrated that they believe as you do concerning our community, or have significantly impressed you that they have the skills and experience to adequately represent you. Please avail yourself of the opportunity to judge firsthand who is best qualified by attending the upcoming forum or attending the monthly board meetings where you will hear how each director feels on any vote that is taken that will affect your standard of living. Do not vote solely for a person who has a nice personality or seems popular with a group, but rather delve deeper into the qualities that I wrote about in last month's Breeze.

Sun City Aliante is a business and not everyone has a clear understanding of how a business needs to be run and the impact the decisions that are made have on the community Not everyone has had the experience necessary to understand the fiscal decisions that they make and not everyone is people oriented. I think you get the idea. Your Board is very powerful and the decisions that are made can have a great effect on your life. Ask probing questions of the candidates running; so that, your decision is an educated one and get involved in the community; so, you can get a better evaluation of the wisdom that each director displays.
