DONOR IMPACT REPORT

Riverview Medical Center Foundation

WORKING TOWARDS A STRONGER FUTURE

Thanks to the generosity of donors, Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center is home to the Kolber Family Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. This state-of-the-art rehabilitation center allows members of the Riverview community to receive vital rehabilitative care right here, close to home. Access to the center is life-changing for many patients, as rehabilitative services are important for improving physical capabilities and enhancing the quality of life for patients of all ages.

“The beautiful facility puts our patients at ease and that in itself is healing. We have wonderful therapists who are very skilled at what they do and take great care of our patients. Donations here changed both the lives of our patients and our team members.”

Expanded Oncology Care

As a nationally accredited leader in cancer care and oncology, Riverview Medical Center will be expanding oncology services in the cancer center. In addition to growing the physical footprint of the space by creating a new inpatient oncology unit with 20 private patient rooms, philanthropic support will also enable the recruitment of physicians with expertise in gynecologic oncology, breast care and colorectal oncology. The $13 million project will be entirely funded through donor support. There is a growing need for expanding oncology services in Monmouth County, and Riverview is ready to support the local community - all thanks to you.

Scholarships for Continuing Education

Educating our nurses is one of Riverview Medical Center’s top priorities. Through donor support, Riverview Medical Center offers various nursing scholarships for team members interested in pursuing certifications or advanced degrees. As nurses continue to further their education, the quality of care they provide also improves

“Thank you for selecting the best staff at the Breast Center.”

GRATEFUL PATIENT

THE BEST BREAST CARE

When it comes to breast cancer, early detection is key for improved outcomes. Through the Pink Fund at Riverview Medical Center’s Jane H. Booker Women’s and Children’s Center, uninsured members of the local community have access to mammograms, screenings and other breast care resources at no cost. Thanks to our family of donors, Riverview Medical Center is helping individuals in the community, regardless of financial means, have access to early detection and diagnosis and access to treatments.

A NEW EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Riverview Medical Center will soon be home to an improved, state-ofthe-art emergency department. This $42 million initiative will redesign, expand and provide upgrades for the Alton A. Hovnanian Emergency Care Center. We are grateful for our lead donors whose generosity has fueled the first stage of this project, which will be 100% funded through philanthropy and community support. The emergency department is vital to the community and is the first place for care for someone in need. This project will help us keep the Riverview community healthy and safe for years to come.
