Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation strives to provide, with compassion and dedication, superior quality health care and rehabilitation for adults. Through continual improvement of Parker’s programs and services, we will be a leader in health care delivery and education.
Parker Jewish Institute continues to remain a dominant force in healthcare and rehabilitation, meeting the challenge of a rapidly increasing adult population with growth and innovation, while maintaining the warmth and compassion that have always distinguished Parker’s services and staff. Since its inception in 1907 as a shelter for 25 indigent men and women, Parker Jewish Institute has evolved into a nationally recognized 527-bed, non-profit center for the health care and rehabilitation of adults, and a comprehensive network of community health care programs for adults. The Institute is a leading academic campus for the training of health care professionals, and an important research center for studies related to aging. We are proud to say that Parker has come a long way since our establishment in 1907. We have and will continue to fulfill our mission to provide high quality, personalized and compassionate care to all of our patients and residents.

The robot, which we have named Whitmore, is designed, and trained to patrol Parker’s lobby and hallways. Bolstered by artificial intelligence, the 5.5-foot-tall, 3-foot-wide robot provided actionable intelligence to Parker’s security team members, alerting them if it encounters anything warranting their immediate attention.

Parker has invested in a vehicle stimulator, to better serve our physical therapy patients, to master the ability to safely enter and exit a car. The vehicle includes a height adjustment system, which allows the therapist to match the height of the car that the patients will either be riding or driving, when they leave Parker. Thanks to the vehicle stimulator, our therapists can reinforce these crucial safety skills, over a period of time.
