Parker’s Indian Cultural Unit

While the world of health care is continuously changing, it is important that Parker Jewish Institute meets the needs of Queens and Nassau’s growing Indian population. Our Indian Cultural Committee has succeeded in creating a home-like environment for our Indian population residing at Parker. Throughout the year our Indian Cultural Committee hosted a series of cultural and religious events, from Holi, Rama Navami, to the festival of lights, Diwali. Each celebratory event was adorned with beautiful cultural relics, and lively performances by renowned Indian artists such as Siddhi Vaishnav, Amgel Shah and Manjula Sharma.
