This thesis attempts to highlight and discuss the major outcomes of the most impacted sector in modern day cities i.e., public transportation considering the historical nature and relation of city forms, activities and land use patterns. The role of different stakeholders during the initial stages of the planning process such as researchers, poly-makers, planners and designers is crucial to implement and execute the concepts like land use and transport integration (LUTI), to reverse the rising urban sprawl issue of cities by focusing on efficient utilization of land with guided, high dense, compact and mixed-use development around existing or proposed transit corridors through various norms and policies. This eventually provides multiple benefits to large population which spreads at much larger context Hence, a holistic approach for sustainable living through developing inclusive environment and to reveal the ideal public realm by bringing back vibrancy into communities is the ultimate intent of this thesis.
