Presentation to firefighter David Russell to mark his retirement

Thumbs up to Jack & Munro who turned 90 the other week for being the true gentleman that his is. Also a big Happy Birthday Jack from the Photo News team! Thumbs up to Kintyre & Country Living for their male fashion show they ran on September 26. Well done to Lowes Men’s Wear for getting involved and providing their clothes. Also well done and thank you to the male residents who agreed to walk in the show, your actions made us all laugh. What a great mornings entertainment. Lastly a special mention to Frances who commentated the show. Kintyre residents love living here as there is always some form of entertainment on. Thumbs up to the Deaf & Chef Café on Macquarie Street for finding my left behind handbag and keeping it safe over night for me to come and get. Thank you so much for contacting me and for you honesty and integrity. Thumbs up to Zara at & Bell River Homes, her customer service is second to none and nothing is too much trouble for her. She is a true asset to the company.

for destroying the fountain in Dandaloo St Narromine when I had enquired about purchasing it for my front yard if it was just going to be destroyed. The Council could have made money for the community from a disused item, instead choosing to destroy it. Thumbs up to Paul, his & brother and his mother at Bob Jane T-marts for their wonderful service. Thumbs up to Rachel at & Susan Grae at Orana Mall. Her customer service is excellent and she is very good at helping customers with what colours and styles suit them. She is very valuable. Thumbs down to very ' rude customers who enter a store and say straight out to shop assistants “no not interested” when they are simply doing their job by trying to greet them. Farewell for School of Rural Health students Contributed by THE SRH

THE University of Sydney, School of Rural Health (SRH) has farewelled a mixture of third and fourth year medical students who have been training in Dubbo over the last 12 months. The annual SRH Medical Students Farewell was held at ‘Press’ which was also attended by SRH staff and various representatives from local health organisations.

Thumbs up to Lisa, & Michael and their children at the Cobra Street Mini Mart whose genuine heartfelt customer service deserve acknowledgement. Thank you for being there for my mother in her time of need. You are community minded, generous of spirit and Dubbo could do with more business people like you. Michael and Lisa you are fantastic role models to your children teaching them kindness and how they can make Dubbo a dementia friendly community. Thank you.
