Chantelle Tedder is the 2025 AgShows NSW Narromine Young Woman By NARROMINE AGRICULTURAL SHOW SOCIETY On Saturday, 19 July, the Narromine community gathered in celebration for the annual Inland Petroleum Narromine Show Ball - a highlight on the local social calendar and, this year, the official launch of the Narromine Agricultural Show Society’s 120th anniversary celebrations. The milestone made the evening all the more special, with community members coming together to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look to the future. A major feature of the night was the announcement of the 2025 AgShows NSW Narromine Young Woman. This year’s program welcomed four impressive entrants: Chantelle Tedder, Layla Den, Montana Leary and Talin Horstman. The women spent the morning taking part in a formal interview and luncheon with a panel of three experienced judges - Anna Madden, Narromine Showgirl in 1991 and 1994, 1995 Sydney Royal Showgirl and Queensland Country Life National Showgirl; James Stephens, RM Williams RAS Rural Achiever for 2025; and Taylor Stephens, 2022 Gresford Young Woman. All four entrants were praised for their commitment

to the local area and for representing the values of the Young Woman program with pride and grace. Narromine Young Woman coordinator Sarah Weir said she was thrilled with how the evening unfolded. “It was a wonderful night and a great way to kick off our 120year celebrations,” she said. “Each of our entrants brought something unique to the program. They were all fantastic representatives of our community and showed genuine passion for rural life. We couldn’t be prouder.” The ball was emceed by the vibrant Katie Powell, whose energy and ability to engage with the crowd made her a crowd favourite. Katie also took time to speak with past Narromine Showgirls, some dating back as far as 1976, gathering heartfelt insights into how the program shaped their personal and professional lives. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of Chantelle Tedder as the 2025 AgShows NSW Narromine Young Woman. Her warmth, community spirit and leadership qualities impressed the judges and audience alike.
