UNFORGETTABLE SCHOOLTRIP

This story happened when I was in middle school for the exact time, I was in year six. At that time, all of my batches went to the 'Kem Kepimpinan' at Sungai Congkak, Hulu Langat in Selangor on our school holiday for 3 days and 2 nights.

All of us were very excited as we had never gone to some far place and will be staying there and also spending time together. Of course, as someone who is never experience staying outside and far from the family even the Kem just for 3 days and 2 nights but I felt so excited and nervous at the same time. Funny things, I did prepared a lot of stuff and brought many clothes with me as I am going to travel overseas.

We rented two buses and were divided into two groups which is the first bus where all the boys and male teachers while the second bus is for the girls and female teachers. On our way to Sungai Congkak, everything seems fine and we enjoyed the views. As soon as we arrived at the campsite, the environment is so peaceful, breathtaking and full of greens because it is a rural area, surrounded by the forest and far from hustle bustle of the city. You were even barely to get a phone signal.

The amazing thing is, our campsite is located beside the river, but it looks like a man-made river and you still can swim there. We were given just 10 minutes to put our belonging in the campsite and need to accumulate in the main hall to proceed with the program tentative. After the speech given by the teacher, we were ordered to prepare ourselves for 30 minutes and get ready to eat dinner. Everything you do they set the time just to make sure you do not late and always be disciplined with the time. As the objective of the program is to make you a better person and build leadership.

After dinner, we prepared to do Jemaah prayer together and read Yasin until isyak. After isyak, we proceed to our slot which is a group game. The game we play was really exciting and we get to know each other better and learn to cooperate. The next day, after breakfast we did senamrobik together before we start our journey to explore the forest which is jungle trekking. This is one of my favorite activities related to nature. Luckily, the weather was so nice and sunny.

Before we started the jungle trekking, the forest ranger, gave us a lot of information and always reminded us about something we should not do there because he said there is not only us who is living in this world. He also told us if we are lucky we could get to see a rare bird, unfortunately, I forgot the name of the bird. To go into the forest, we should walk through the 'Perkampungan Orang Asli' first. You can see they are used to living in the forest and some thought came into my mind asking how can they are not scared living in this thick forest?

As deep as we walk in the forest, they are a lot of plants that are unfamiliar to us. We also faced many obstacles such as we cross over the river until half of our body was wet and having to step on the mud till our shoes does not look like shoes anymore. Fortunately, as the saying goes there is rainbow after rain and our hard work surely paid off. All the difficulties we have been through bring us to the pleasing waterfall.

We rested for a while at the waterfall w the views and the surrounding with the The forest ranger told us that the water tried to drink the water. They taste sligh underground. After that, we came back arrived at noon. At night, we continued w until midnight. Finally, the main slot that waiting for is 'Night Walk.' Everyone was excited without thinking about what will

I was so nervous because honestly, this was my first time experiencing walking in the forest in the middle of the night. We were asked to leave group by group to find way out and were provided with glow-in-dark bracelets for each person.

As to test our courage, the facilitator prepared something for us. Some of them disguise themselves by wearing white clothes with scary faces to terrify us.

One of my friends had cried as she was terrified by the action. Lastly, the activities ended at 3 in the morning and we do not sleep at all as we have to clean ourselves and changed our clothes.

Tomorrow, it is time to go back, we felt such a heavy heart to leave the place as we really owned and had so much fun time by all the activities and could never forget what we have experinced
