Page was engaged by ExxonMobil to perform LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning for their new 385-acre campus located in Spring, Texas. The commissioning team provided full MEP commissioning services for 23 buildings on the campus, which accommodate approximately 10,000 employees and were constructed to high standards of energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. Sustainable design practices have been incorporated into every facet of the campus design and construction process. The state-ofthe-art campus consists of 14 office buildings, a multi-story laboratory, meeting and training centers, a 20,000-ton central plant, a wellness center, an energy center, three parking garages, a computing facility, a large central campus commons, a childcare development facility (equipped with 19 classrooms) and other employee amenities.
The 14 office buildings were designed to maximize daylight and views for employees with a sophisticated daylight harvesting lighting controls system. In addition, the systems were designed to achieve the following: increased energy efficiency including high-quality and high-efficiency equipment; a building automation system incorporating control strategies to minimize energy consumption while maintaining user comfort and system reliability; increased indoor air quality; use of durable, high quality and environmentally safe building materials; and avoidance of ozone-depleting substances such as CFCs and halons.
