Our record of innovation includes more than design. It also includes complementary services. In the mid-1900s, Page became one of the first architectural firms in the nation to integrate in-house engineering design services to respond to increasingly advanced systems in projects. Now our engineers are responsible for designing interdependent mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil and structural systems for a wide range of projects. The Page brothers who founded the firm would not recognize how technically sophisticated projects can be today. The image of the lone figure sitting over a drafting board has been replaced with multiple people who are sometimes virtually connected, fingers flashing on their keyboards as they hand off leadership from phase to phase while remaining involved throughout the entire process. Our global experience also helps us think forward how we can better serve clients in the future. Today, one in every four Page employees, which includes architects, engineers and other specialists, is accredited in at least one sustainable design rating system, such as LEED, BREAAM and Estidama. That’s allowed us to successfully achieve project sustainability certification on a global scale across the different rating programs in various parts of the world. We also emphasize the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in our work. It greatly improves knowledge sharing among the members of a project team from design and engineering to contractors and their subcontractors as well as owners and operators.
