La ruptura de The Gossip, su anterior grupo, se veía venir desde hacía tiempo. Y este disco, el primero en solitario de toda su carrera, así lo testifica. La de Arkansas aparece más liberada en Fake Sugar, una obra que deja ver a las claras su filiación blues rock, aunque podamos escuchar algunos elementos electrónicos. Es, en sus propias palabras, un álbum sureño. Un regreso a las raíces y a la música en la que mas confia, aquella con personalidad y una historia detrás. Ditto marca el camino a seguir con gran decisión y es lo que más destaca en canciones como Savoir Faire, Oh My God o In and Out. ¡Ganas de más!
