Diseña tu propio barco Design your own boat

Imagínate un barco modificable. No, mejor imaginate un Lego de proporciones épicas con forma de barco, ¿lo tienes? Max Zhibo sí. Este arquitecto y diseñador ruso ha diseñado seis barcos intercambiables. En realidad es uno solo y se llama MYBO, pero sus piezas se pueden quitar y poner, dando como resultado un vehículo flotante adaptable que puede hacer las veces de crucero, de cargo o de lancha más o menos deportiva. La base de MYBO es la simplicidad de sus elementos y sus piezas prefabricadas, que hacen posible mover la cabina de mandos o añadir y quitar ventanas según las necesidades del propietario. De momento es solo un prototipo, pero la idea de Zhibo está teniendo bastante repercusión así que no es del todo descabellado pensar que en unos años esté cruzando los mares. Por si acaso, ve pensando cómo te gustaría diseñar tu propio barco.

Imagine a boat that can be modified. Or better yet: imagine a Lego of epic proportions in the shape of a boat. Got it? Max Zhibo does. This Russian architect and designer has devised six interchangeable boats. In reality it’s only one and it’s called MYBO, but its pieces can be removed and replaced, producing an adaptable floating construction in the shape of a cruiser, a cargo ship or a more or less sporty launch. The foundation of MYBO is the simplicity of its different elements and prefabricated pieces, which make it possible to move the bridge or add and subtract windows according to the owner’s needs. For the moment it’s only a prototype, but Zhibo’s idea is getting lots of attention, so it’s not entirely far-fetched to think that within a few years it will be sailing the seas.
