Physiotherapy, yoga and meditation studio

THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO A FREE SPIRIT

ABOUT US Physiomind was established in 2000 and through our professional reputation and recommendation we have established a busy, friendly and highly regarded practice. We are a team of highly experienced physiotherapists, all of whom are specialists in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, and meditation and yoga teatchers. We are passionate about our work and proud of the level of clinical excellence we continue to achieve. Physiomind is one of the leading physiotherapy and meditation centres in London, with strong links with local consultant and GP’s, due to our clinical expertise alongside the friendly approachable nature of our clinic. The clinic was opened in Greenwich in January 2003, set up by the two current directors, who were at the time lead physiotherapists and yoga instructor. They have always had a special interest in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention, including setting up screening programmes for young sports players and working closely with county tennis players. This continues with the team of physiotherapists working in the clinic to date. Currently we work with a wide range of sports including; rugby, tennis, athletics, cricket & swimming and our patient list includes GB, national, county & club level athletes. For over 15 years the clinic has also worked closely with local consultants and now offers a highly specialised upper limb and shoulder physiotherapy service for all injuries from tendinopathies, muscle tears and fractures to post surgery rehabilitation. However whether you are part of a national set-up, enjoy a knock-about in the local park or are not a sports person at all, we work with the same enthusiasm and expertise with each individual we treat. We rehabilitate everyone to achieve their own personally set goals.

PHILOSOPHY We are whole human beings and our component parts, while seeming unrelated, are intimately connected. Holistic addiction and trauma treatment is an approach based upon the knowledge that sustained recovery can only occur when a person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health are addressed. The body, mind, soul and spirit are connected and disease affecting one of these areas must affect all other parts of the person. Traditional treatment centers are often fragmented and focus predominately on the mind and peripherally the body. Holistic addiction and trauma treatment is designed to address the root cause of the addiction, support total healing, and restore balance to a person’s whole being. In Physiomind’s treatment program, traditional methods are combined with comprehensive and complementary treatment methods to fully address a person’s physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social issues.

FACILITIES Physiomind has its prime location at the brand new multi-million pound Academy for Sport located in Greenwich. The Academy offers state of the art assessment and physiotherapy treatment facilities as well as gym space and a dance floor to aid rehabilitation and testing. Treatment Room We have a large, fully equipped physiotherapy treatment room that offers a multi bed facility. All beds have a curtain provision for privacy if requested. All the latest treatments including acupuncture and ultrasonic massage are available. Exercise Track Being based at the Gateshead Academy for Sport gives us unprecedented access to a class leading exercise track to help us speed up your recovery. Having this facility on site allows us to test your abilities or injuries and design our physiotherapy treatment in a responsive manner. Exercise Room We have a large exercise room available for testing and rehabilitation. Once we have treated our athletes we can then test them before returning to their sport. Having an exercise room to hand on site means that there is no delay between receiving physiotherapy treatment and being able to give feedback, which then allows us to design further exercise plans and treatment regimes responsively.
